Early this morning I was woken by a high pitched bark. I felt the air across my face as if the source was within inches of my nose. My ears still feel really sensitive to the pitch and level of noise they received so suddenly.
My husband heard nothing at all.
I have checked with family, that pets are OK and they all seem to be. I even got up and checked on my dog who sleeps in a crate downstairs. And brought her back upstairs to bed with me. She was fast asleep when I checked on her.
I can't figure out why I received such a rude awakening this morning or how I can help whatever woke me.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? How can I investigate further?
With the noise came the feeling that it was a scream let out on death, following pain in the chest area, but I don't know what I was expected to do.
Any thoughts very welcome as I'm truly puzzled and somewhat dazed at the intensity. It wasn't a dream though, I'm sure of that.
Do you meditate at all? You could always try meditating and asking for the barker to show you why he/she contacted you like this 
In between sleep and awake our minds are often relaxed enough to allow this type of communication.
It's interesting that there are dog and cats thread appearing in HP at the same time ...

I do meditate, but no where near enough. I have good intentions then get distracted (usually with knitting). I will have a go and see what I receive.

No more barking, just the odd flash of light at odd times during the night. If I ask them to go they do. Why can't they come for a chat at a more reasonable hour. lol
