Hello! I have been having some knee pain on the outside of my knee for about 6 weeks (left knee, on left side of knee, not on top or below). There was no popping or anything that happened specifically that I can remember, I just know that the next day after a leg work out with heavy weights my knee was sore. It's not swollen at all and has not been. I'm nearly 100% sure it's due to some new exercises I've been doing using the leg press machine and doing single leg presses, probably from incorrect form. Unfortunately I did not listen to my body and continued doing them, researching how to do them with correct form to see if I would help since I really like the exercises. Now my knee is pretty damn sore. I cannot sit in indian style at all with my left leg on the inner portion of the indian style (my knee starts to hurt when its bent in this position when my legs are at a 90 degree angle). It doesn't hurt to walk, or straighten it, or do squats or other exercises. I can bend down fully without pain. I also notice that its a bit sore after I do the stairclimber.

I'm aware many people will say to go to the doctor but my insurance sucks and I would rather not go if they're just going to say I need to R&R + ice for 3 weeks. Photo attached showing location of pain. Help appreciated!
