Not sure where to post this - comments please on using rice flour as a filler in a supplement - is this good or bad for you? Try to keep my supplements as clean as possible so have found something that I am keen to try but rice flour is in it - I have heard good and bad about this so a bit lost who to believe.

It is neither good nor bad. Rice flour is used as a filler to keep the price down, and as a 'flow agent' to lengthen the shelf life. Are you likely to be affected by a small amount of rice flour? Unlikely, unless you are taking dozens of supplements in a day. There is a company in the US that prides itself on the purity of it's products - but you have to pay a high price to get stuff that doesn't resort to fillers - not sure if they export -

So I would be OK to take and I don't think I have a rice allergy.

Rice flour is ground rice, so if you don't have a problem with rice, you should be ok with rice flour.

Would it need to be pre-cooked as a raw material before encapsulation?
