jenny, any luck with mirror.

Aura, I agree with moonfeather about the colours.... You could try this.What I do at times is I focus on a duster(like on a stick)and I focus it cleaning away any negitive bit within my Aura and the I focus a paintbrush and lots of coloured paint tins and I dip it into the colours that are needed to brighten up my Aura and I recive a nice bit of colour healing.. Always make's me feel good and help me get a lot more clearer communcation.
Just feel relaxed when loooking into mirror and don't look for too long at you face. Close you eyes for a while...then open them about 3 or 4 times and then finish. Try not to do this every day. A couple times a week. Your guide is their for you to be looked after, so don't forget to ask for his/her guidence when doing this.

I'm definitely getting better at seeing my aura. I found a site with eye exercises and have been doing well with them.
My aim in doing this is to hopefully one day see maybe an outline of my guide while i'm looking in the mirror. I need to have contact because of what's happening with my family, and i don't know where to turn; i need Divine Intervention!

I do close my eyes occasionally while looking in the mirror. I do that usually because my eyes eventually start stinging, but mainly because i can still see myself after i've closed my eyes, but like coloured in..like an after image. I can stare at say my cat, relax my gaze and then close my eyes to still see my cat, who is usually green.

To be completely honest it does freak me out a little. I started seeing colours accidentally after i was attuned to R2 and it made me very nervous at first.

Lightwinds, someone else told me that i had too much red in my aura, which was because i was being over protective of myself and my family. She told me to look at my aura in the mirror and ask the red energy to go back to my root chakra. I tried but nothing happened. I also send Reiki to dark areas in my aura and watch, but nothing moves. So i sort of feel that what is there when i look is how it is and i can't dod anything about it.

When I was a teenager, there would always be a samurai warriot, with a sword, in my bedroom at night. I was terrified to turn my back on him, or go to sleep, as I KNEW he would behead me. This went on for months/years, and of course, I never told anyone about it in case they thought I was nuts.

I had forgotten all about this until a few weeks ago, and this thread has reminded me yet again, so I guess I am supposed to be looking at something connected to the memory, though I haven't got a clue what it might be!

The only other time I have been really scared was in 1994, I had just moved into a new house, and woke one morning to find I was pinned to the bed, and a negative spirit was 'in' my chest, keeping me there. I was terrified, couldn't move at all, and just started reciting the Lords prayer over and over until it 'released' me. Horrible experience, but thankfully I haven't experienced anything like it since.

Hello Aura, if mirror gazing scare you, then it's best not to do it. You need to feel comfortable with it.
Although someone else told you that you had to much red in your aura, did you see or know yourself you did?
I have a little rainbow meditation that could help. If you like I can PM it to you. Will leave it up to you. Never say nothing can be done......help is always avaible if needed. Red can be quite a positive colour as well you know.

Hello Memphis, you seem to have had a few scares. Maybe your being reminded spirit are not hear to harm anyone..I feel sometimes are own fears just runaway with us. Thankyou for shareing your story.

Yes, i have seen the red..it's usually when i stare at my chin area..in my perlipheral i am completely shocking red. I am wriggled in arthritis, and i am also a very defensive and protective person, so i guess that's why it's there.

Last night while i was watching tele, in the corner of my eye on the wall, a golden circle flashed. I turned just in time to get a slight glimpse. As usual it made me a little on edge..i would love to know what it was.

Just a quickie, I have been reading through these threads again. Thank you so much for your calm words of guidence. Sometimes the hardest thing about all of this spiritual growth and learning is knowing who you can ask questions and get reassuring and practical words of reassurance from without any mumbo jumbo being thrown in. When I was small I spent a long time trying to convince my parents that there was a man sitting on the end of my bed. They couldn't see him but I could quite clearly and was upset that they couldn't. I have on and off over the years "seen" people who have gone on before me. I saw my dead grandad twice at a time when I was feeling very stressed and upset. He came to tell me that everything would be allright and that I shouldn't be afraid to see him. A bit daft to me, he wouldn't hurt me in life why would he hurt me in spirit. All I felt was calm.

Since then, thanks to my epilepsy getting worse, I have been able to see more and more. I know people will say that it is the epilepsy working on my brain, but this is under control to a certain extent and I feel that it has helped to open me up to a more wonderful world.

I don't feel that I would be at all concerned if my guide were to appear in front of me, my daughter may though, when she was a child she was visited by a red indian, a greek philosopher and half a platoon of american soldiers! They are all there to guide her whenever she needs it, the fact that they would appear wouldnt get her going just the fact that we have small rooms and it may be a bit of a crush![sm=jump1.gif]

Marinie, thanks for sharing your story. Yes, funny sometime's how people can be afraid of the spirit of someone that they new well on earth. Im shore with your daughter having a mum that as open to spirit (crossed over souls) as you will help her a great deal.

Hi Lightwinds have tried your suggestion but so far no visuals. I am very aware of a presence but as yet haven't been able to see anything.
Will keep on with the exercise though but am aware that I musn't TRY too hard, rather ALLOW it. Easier said than done though:eek:

My biggest fear of seeing a ghost comes from watching Ghostbusters!!

Do u remember the scene when they see that ghost in the library and she is nice and then as they get closer she changes into this really scarey skull monster thing with wild hair!??

Thats what I would be scared of if I saw a ghost!!

I've always been quite scared by the idea of seeing something in the mirror that 'isn't really there'. I think this dates back to childhood ghost stories more than anything. Like a lot of other people, the dark can be scary, but for me it's usually because my imagination takes over.

I just wanted to reply to a couple of topics that came up in the course of this thread:

Aura - your comments also reminded me of a time back in 1997, a couple of months after a dear aunt died after a very long debilitating illness. I was in the bathroom and as I looked at my face in the mirror, it was like my aunt was looking back at me, rather than seeing my reflection. It was definitely my face, but it really looked like her: there was something in the eyes and the set of the mouth - I don't know what exactly, as hers had been distorted by her illness for several years (and I'd felt that her true spirit had actually left a couple/few years before she actually died, so she didn't look like 'her' even then). I just had a very strong feeling that it was her looking back at me, not a straightforward reflection of myself. We don't really resemble each other, and I haven't had the same phenomenon since that period. But at that time, I also had a run of very good 'luck'. I find it hard to believe this was a coincidence and I'm sure it's because she was with me.

Darren - I also wanted to tell you about something in relation to the question you asked about other people's spirit guides. I've told the full story here before, but perhaps not mentioned these bits. Earlier this year, I was living in Paris and a friend had come to visit and my landlady was there too. Her keys mysteriously turned up in her postbox, and it turned out my spirit guide had put them there and that the event had been plotted by my guide and my landlady's deceased father who 'know' each other. During that weekend, so many little things happened: synchronisities, parallels, shared experiences etc. to make me think that the three of us had been brought together (some very personal, so I won't discuss here!!). Also, when I mentioned Lucie, the previous inhabitant of the flat who had died the previous year and who'd been a good friend of my landlady, I had a really strange sensation - like something passing through me from head to toes, so I'm sure she was there too. So whilst we didn't meet each other's guides, it really did feel like there were a lot of us in the room - and the thing about the keys alerted us to their presence. That evening has been the start of a new chapter for each of us.

Not sure what you can make of that, but now it's told!!

The scariest thing I have encountered of a supernatural nature occurred about 20 years ago when I was going through a very tough time in my life.

I was lying awake in bed in the early hours of the morning when I heard what sounded like someone whistling a tune. It was very close, as if a person was either inside my bedroom or right outside it. I got up and went to investigate but there was nothing there. I went outside and looked, but again nothing. I never did find out the reason for it.

Some time later, I had cause to wait in for a council workman. At the time, I had one of those front doors with frosted glass panels. I had an armchair in my sitting room that when correctly positioned, I could see if anyone was at the door by looking through the frosted glass. I was only able to see shadows of people, but enough to let me know when someone was outside. Anyway, while I was waiting this day, I looked over at the front door to see a shadow pass by it. Thinking it was the council workman, I ran to the door and opened it. Seeing nobody there, I went to the back door, but no-one was to be seen. The council workman never did keep the appointment.

I moved shortly after this experience.

Cloud, i believe that you saw what you saw. When i look in the mirror lately, it's getting more obvious, probably because of the eye exercises i'm doing every day. I hold a smaller mirror closer to me as when i sit in front of my mirror in my bedroom, i can only get so close and my eye sight is terrible. Though, saying that, i still can't make it out clearly! My face definitely changes but i still can't see a completely different face.

Last night was a horrible night. I slept as usual with my light on, but i woke up in the early hours terrified, but i didn't know why. I was awake but too tired to move. I just lay there with my stomach in knots trying to think why i felt so scared; it was really horrible!
I remember i had a dream, but i could remember it and there was nothing frightening about it. If i think about it now while i'm sitting here, i get a horrible feeling.

I am not really afraid of anything now but when I was a child I had horrifying nightmares and hated the dark and only slept for half the night, I would always wake up at about 1 and then not sleep till it started to get light.

I had dreams of death and horrific stuff like beheading and hanging it was horrible. I would wake up and see people standing round my bed - 7 of them looking down at me. The experiences only stopped when I read a book about shamanism and taught myself to properly channel what I was receiving it took years tho.

I was scared of death as well for years, until my mum took me to see an old lady she knew and she talked to me about what she felt (I think she was about 80 odd at the time), I think that was mainly to do with neing brought up catholic and the horrors you hear about hell although purgetory put the colly wobbles in me more lol!

Now I don't worry about anything, I have shocks but have put it down to me just being me lol! I have very very weird dreams that people say should be nightmares (they look very strangly at me when I describe them lol) but to me they are just something that has to be worked out. I know how people are with the dark as I used to be exactly the same, hated walking with it behind me - now I love it.

I have heard voices and noises. I have felt and met guides and angels and also demons non of which really freak me out anymore, although my genie I have around at times was a bit scary at first. I think as I have had so many weird and often fantastic things happen to me I have just got used to it!

[sm=animal-smiley-085.gif]Oh, boy. What scares me the most? I have to say that even at the grand old age of 51(Eeek - that's so scarey) I am frightened of the dark.

Not all the time though.

I have had times when I know I have been on the receiving end of a "sending" and the malevolence is appalling. I have seen "ghosts" and, whilst giving me a bit of a turn, they don't really scare the "be.jeebers" out of me. The worst times are when you wake suddenly and just KNOW there is something else there.

I am a Reiki Master and do house clearances (not like Trotter & Co) and have done battle over the years with things paranormal but I'm still scared of the dark!!

I remember one evening as I was retireing to bed: Got all snuggled up and felt the bed clothes being tuck in around my back and a touch apon my head, I did not move but felt very loved, I was going through a ruff patch at the time.

There is not one thing that scares me,it is the fear of the unknown itself that scares me most. When you fear the unknown you create in your head the thing that is scaring you.After having experiences of spirit,if i experience something that makes me jump i feel a rush of adrenalin and i love it!

Just a thrill seeker i guess.
My most scary moment was when i touched my Nan whislt a friend gave me a reading.
After a night of being amazed by what i was told in the reading( also stuff i needed my Mom to confirm) my friend said "ya nan has told me to ask if you believe she is really here?" after saying yes i was told that i could touch my nan if i wanted.Obviously i did.
My friend stood up and put his hand out,after a few seconds i put my hand by his and had the sensation of cold move from my fingertips up my hand and i had to pull my hand back and compose myself as i became overwhelmed by it all.I put my hand back out and because i was more comfortable this time was more intense and i will not even try to explain the emotion i felt because i could'nt.
It changed me and i thank my nan for that.
After a couple of weeks i could not stop thinking about it and decided to visit a medium i have seen a few times,i suppose i wanted to have my experience confirmed.As i walked through her house to the lounge before i even sat down she said"you have touched ya nan ent ya"
I was fully prepared to just give her the money for the reading and leave as that was all i wanted to hear.
I have also been told this by other mediums since which i find comforting.

and clowns are scary!

Hi,

I think i am more scared of people than spirit or anything like that. it is my personal belief that jinns are the ones that can do horrid things and spirit are not a problem. Also that jinns never need to be a problem eiter...if you have the conviction you can tell them to go away!!

of course there was a time when i didn't know that and had some scary times...the typical feeling in the middle of the night of someone kneeling on top of you and crushing your chest so you cannot breath..terrfiying as you can think you have an intruder.

I am more afraid of people and they are the ones that can harm you and if they are physically stronger tan you..you are in trouble.

At least if a Jinn or poltygiest comes you can tell them to go and take controll for yourself...if I am frightened or feel worried i can ask him upstairs to help me and it works...so i no longer feel afraid or vunerable.

But real live people..i am a dreadful scaredy cat!!

I am still not used to seeing the little girl with the 'damaged' face at the top of our landing looking down at me whenever I go upstairs. I have to have the light on to go upstairs now. My daughter always plays and talks to her, and both me and my son have seen her running from room to room on the landing. The feeling of a man in the house also terrifies me......I can smell his cigarettes when he's about......and I can see him.

Both my son and I have seen the light orbs in his room in the dark of night, and I trust my son when he's says they are not very nice. The doorway to their world is in the corner of his room, and both my son and I have seen that door open many a time.

My partner and I are constantly putting protection around the house and the children....though I am not convinced it works...especially when I feel a gripping fear in the bathroom in the middle of the night! Sometimes I lay awake for hours with my eyes open, waiting for them to come!

Have to admit the thought of seeing a ghost scares me, especially at night when I have to get up for the toilet hehehe. But in my experience when I have seen a spirit I have never been frightened, I was always calm.

Except for the time one decided to jump on the end of my bed, then I totally freaked lol [sm=speechless-smiley-008.gif]

I remember being woken up feeling someone yanking my foot about when I was about 14 to get up for school. I opened my eyes thinking it was my Mum xcept there was no one physically there! I lay there looking at my foot being pulled back and forth and said thank you I am awake now and it stopped!

I was alot nicer about getting up in the mornings after that for my mum lol

For some reason that little episode has always made me laugh and it certainly cured me of bed hugging in the morning for a while.
mmmmmm y'know my hubbie is not that great about getting up in the morning [:-];)

When we look back most ghostly experiences are when we are young, we are very open to spirit as children.
If I see a spirit person I dont feel comfortable with, I just tell them to leave and they do, Unless it's someone that need help to move on to the other side. Remember you are in charge.
To me there is a Divine Force and it's Love. Just replace the fear with Love.

If you think as we sleep at night people never get possesd by spirit, you would think that we would if we are afraid of the night and what lurking around are room. Fear can paralize you. We are all one with the Divine Force be it light or dark, good or evil, happy or sad, we are here to bring a balance to our mind, body and soul...........We are all connected " With all that is."

Dose your Ego keep you grounded with thoughts of evil, evil is to "Live". God is "Dog" a loyal friend who has unconditional love for you.
