Hi,

I'm only 24 and suffer from thread veins! I take part in a lot of excercise and do my best not to cross my legs, but they just keep on coming. Please could someone advise me on the best thing to do to treat thread veins.

Many thanks

Love Gemsarah

Hiya

I've been having some success treating thread veins with essential oils (EO). If you take a tablespoon (10 ml) of wheatgerm oil, add 1 drop lemon EO and 1 drop peppermint EO and massage your legs with this three times a week, you should see some improvement.

Please do not increase the amount of EO you put in the mix. Less is more when you use EOs. Let us know how you get on!

Hi,

I am just curious to know if there is anything i can do about spider veins on my nose... i have two big ones (one on the tip and one on the side) and i always feel very aware about how bad my skin looks with them...
could your blend also help these do you think?
(can't afford the needles or laser treatment for them - but am saving up!)

I had red viens from my teens and have tried a few treatments. Years ago it was electolysis - painful and left me scabby for a few days, but effective. Later I had something else only once because of the bruising - a rectangular piece of glass and a light beam. The best was about 5 years ago - laser, the same as they use for hair removal. Very lucky, only paid £50 a go and only had 1 or 2 treatments. Mildly uncomfortable, but well worth it. I am out running in all weathers, have been teaching aerobics for years and am in the sun if it happens to be out when I'm out! My skin is very good now, so I think laser is definitely the way forward.

Hi beautystudent

I'm a little doubtful about using lemon oil on the face because it increases the burning action of the sun. However, maybe you could try this:

10 ml wheatgerm oil
2.5 ml calendula oil
1 drop camomile
1 drop rose

You know what I do to make the veins not disappear completely but slowly, every evening before going to bed. I will lift my legs in the wall for almost 30 min. my veins are still visible but it reduce slowly. why not try that.
