Yes I saw this report. I find slightly worrying as I take 400ug per day.

I however cured my persistant cystitus by doing this and I think vit E is a very healing vitamin.

This is the first time I have heard of it doing any harm.

Hi Candie
I think we have to be cautious about such reports... everyday reports saying this that and the rest are bad for you or can cause death. Last week in the Guardian an article stated that soja products can cause male slow sperm mobility and infertility. The important thing to see is the title "The vitamin boost that could cause early death", the "could" is the catch key as in theory anything can/could cause death. In the 2nd paragraph the sentence says "A study has found ..." a study could you be more vague please... Then the good news in the 3rd paragraph: it is AN AMERICAN STUDY, America the country where anything can cause harm, (there was once a study showing that moving has been linked to fatigue ;))
Their study is probably sponsored by GKS, Pfizer or another giants of the pharmaceutical industry and the study was probably performed on smokers, drinkers, overweight none active people.
Of course we have to be careful about what the amount of supplement we take but I believe that too many health journalists live off un-documented articles, it is easy to do and by being alarmist they have a bit of fame.

Bokken
