Hi, please help me with a couple of problems if you know about homepathy. I'm having treatment and am really.. well, confused about a few things.
- My homeopath didn't tell me about NOT having peppermint products during treatment. I've had tea & aromatherapy lotion all along. And so atshma & allergies persist. Now after telling her about this she thinks it's because I jogged and that I should not jogg anymore. Or only jogg on my toes. As if she ignored the fact that she hasn't told me about peppermint and that I've used it a lot.
-I was also told to bin my brown inhaler and only use the blue "immediate help"-one when I have asthma. But today's asthma attack was very severe and I nearly stopped breathing. I know ordinary GP' say that one should never ever stop using their brown inhaler, even if the symptoms of asthma went away..
-I was told to stay on a no-carb no-sugar diet for 2 weeks. Now it's been a month and I still have to be on it. Isn't it propably that my problems persist because of using the bloody peppermint stuff???
Sorry moderators, I figured this general discussion is the best place to get attention and help..

I did reply to your original Post in Natural Remedies though - did you see it?

RE: homepathy knowledge? help
Hello Riika,
I have known a few homeopaths who did not believe that peppermint necessarilly counteracted homeopathy. That was in Switzterland, and I did know some of their patients, and yes, the treatments were effective.
I do not see how jogging could counteract the treatment? Jogging may be bad for your joints if you don't have shock absorbent shoes, but I really don't see the link with homeopathy and asthma.
Things can first get worse before they get better with homeopathy... but in case of asthma, it should not get to the point where you stop breathing! As far as I know, dairy products should be the products to cut down for asthma. I am not a nutritionist, but why cut out carbs?
I see you are from Finland, and I do not knwo how the situation is there regarding homeopathy. In Switzerland homeopaths are medical doctors who have had extra training in homeopathy. In the UK, homeopaths are not necessarly medical doctors. Back to your case... Has that specific homeopath been recomended to you? Is there anyone else you could go to? As for advising you to stop using one of your inhalers, unless the person is a medical doctor, I would say that it is overstepping their expertise. Suggesting that you discuss the matter with your GP is another matter though.
I hope this helps,
Artemis
