During the awkward weather spell last week our milk deliveries couldn't get through, so we had a neighbour going into town for our supplies. Normally we have whole milk, preferably organic, but as there had been a run on the shelves they got us some A2.
We used it gratefully.
Always a good eater, the last few days my appetite has blown out of all proportion. I really cannot stop, whatever tricks I use. Ginger biscuits. cheese sandwiches, there is no end to what I stuff myself with. I cannot work out what is the matter with me and do hope it won't go on!
Now, just seeing the milk bottle, I wonder - could it be the milk? The A2? I searched the internet but found only praise. 'Side effects' or 'dangers' of A2 milk did not yield any useful results.
Does anyone else have experience with this?
Having worked out when I had milk and when the eating urges started, I am now sure it must be the A2. I have milk mainly in the form of custard: one day I had A2 custard in the evening and the appetite started just before bedtime. I even got up out of bed twice! to eat some more. The next day I had custard mid-day, and the urges started about a couple of hours later. I really could not stop, though normally I am fairly disciplined.
A2...can't say I have heard of it. But as a rule of thumb, as perhaps you do too, I seldom use mucked about foods.
Even if this A2 milk has triggered something. But that's done now.
All you can do is don't churn it cerebrally, as in keep wondering, regretting, doing detective work etc etc
Just let it go off your radar a bit. Breathe and know the body will soon cleanse itself of whatever it has triggered
Your normal default settings will come back into play.
I don't worry about it at all. The appetite was only temporary and I'm not going to have A2 again!
However, I would like to tell others about this. On the internet I can only find good, wonderful things about this A2. So people who buy it, maybe because they are lactose intolerant or something, may not realise why they can't stop eating. It seems to me very important to get this message out, somewhere.
