Only just noticed this as haven't been on here for ages!

My 17 year old niece has had a pacemaker for about 10 years and I've given her reflexology treatments many times. I haven't worried about it at all as I think that reflexology and the pacemaker are working to the same aim - to balance the rhythm of the heart.

I always work carefully over her heart reflex as she has had a lot of surgery over the years but I haven't been concerned about the pacemaker.

Hi Potion and thanks, I did give her a very light treatment but avoided the heart area, I did lots of spinal work and relaxation but I was so nervous and for days afterwards, I even phoned to see how she was and she was fine.I have opted to give her reiki instead from now on as its not worth the worry and then I cannot concentrate properly either.:)
