Has anyone had good results with Reflexology for Addison's Disease.

I know to work the adrenals. What else specifically do you suggest?

I don't think you need 'specifics' - but a general treatment incorporating endocrine and lymphatic systems should help with any fatigue or immune deficiency problems that can happen with this condition. Is the client on HRT?

I don't know, but I'll check with her. Why do you ask?

Silly question do you mean HRT as in menopause treatment OR treatment to replace what her adrenal glands are not producing..........

The latter - I have a friend with Addison's who is on a form of aldosterone, described as HRT - he was found to be deficient after tests for Addison's, and it was probably caused after one of his kidneys was irreparably damaged a number of years ago, when he was the victim of GBH.

Ta muchly. I thought that was, it but since the term 'HRT' is used almost exclusively for the menopause treatment I just wanted to check. Aldosterone isn't hormone replacement as such.....its a bit more complicated than that. Never heard of Addison's happening as the result of an injury tho. You live and learn....

Thanks for the clarification... I was thinking HRT, i.e., hormone replacement.
How I can ask her more specifically.
Will get back with you. And thanks!
