Itec facial electrical treatment

Anyone knows the following answer?

1. At the beginning of a course of facial faradic treatment, how many times should each muscle be contracted?
2. What is the procedure for a pre sentivity heat test for an infra red treatment?

RE: Itec facial electrical treatment

Hi,

1. Treatment time is usually about 15 minutes to exercise the facial muscles in a general toning routine. Each muscle may be contracted five times but as treatment progresses the number of contractions may be increased depending upon client tolerance and reaction of muscles to treatment.

2. When applying any form of heat to the skin a thermal skin test must be carried out prior to treatment, to avoid burning the skin and to ensure that the clients skin sensitivity is not impaired.
Two test tubes should be filled , one with hot water and the other with cold water. The client should close their eyes and the test tubes are applied alternately to the areas which will be exposed to the heat. If clients s can distinguish between the hot and cold test tubes then their skin sensation is normal and the treatment may proceed.

I hope that this is helpful.

Tracey.

RE: Itec facial electrical treatment

I thought each muscle was to be contracted 8 times at the start of the course increasing as the client gets used to the sensation.

I have some other papers but they are all the same questions. Or most of them. I hope that helps.
Take a deep breath, you will be fine. It will be well worthed
Good luck,
(By the way, which collage are you in?)
