hi, if your sitting the Holistic Massage practical, then this is what the examiner asked me and my friends. We sat the exam last week.
she asked one of us to name all the muscles in the arm and what is meant by local contraindication and to give examples.
give all the contrainidcations for the leg
what are the benefits of effleurage, and what would you do if someone fainted or had an asthma attack
name the muscles used in the respiratory system and how does massage benefit the respiratory system
hope this helps, the exam was pretty laid back and the examiner just waited for us to help the clients of the couch and then left the room

Thanks to healthy pages for all help and past papers - any other comments, questions asked at practical much appriciated.
RE: ITEC A+P Paper
Hi, thanks for those questions! Think that the answer to 25 should be B though not A. Graves disease is caused by HYPERsecretion of thyroxin (not HYPO) which would be myxoedema (but also untreated cretinism, so a difficult and tricky question!)
Also, question 26 - the answer should be C not D. Venules carry deoxygenated blood from the capillaries to the larger veins (not from the larger veins to the capillaries) according to Louise Tucker (page 60 of the A & P book) and she seems to be the ITEC guru!!
Hope this helps with anyone's revision.

RE: ITEC A & P exam last week (10th July)
Hi cederwood, good luck on Sunday. If you have the Tucker book I would suggest you go over the recent papers posted here testing yourself and reading up from Louise Tucker anything you get wrong. The questions seem to be on similar subjects each time, just with different wording. I found this way of revising to be really helpful. Good luck again.

itec a&p EXAMS
hi Im a new member and not sure how this works, has anybody done the ITEC A&P yet this year I would love to know how it was:eek:
RE: itec a&p EXAMS
I just did it recently. Fairly easy to be honest, nothing unexpected or tricky came up.
RE: itec a&p EXAMS
[sm=sandrine.gif]Hello, I'm due to sit ITEC A&P late May 2007. Found out on Tuesday night that the multiple choice answers will be put onto a separate sheet instead of answering on the same question sheet as in previous exams -setup changed to facilitate electronic markingapparently. Have not heard as of yet what types of questions are due to come up so suppose willjust need to keep an eye out on this site; some lovely little angel just might post one or two hints.......I know that as time speeds closer to the exam date it seems more information is leaking out of my head than actually sinking in but I know it's just a few more weeks now so will try and hang in there. Too much money invested so far. My twoyoung sons think it's funny when I sit down at the table to do my 'homework' when they're doing theirs!! It shows them that learning keeps on going no matter what ageyou are.
Good luck in your exams Cody and to anyone else who reads this!!! C~
RE: itec a&p EXAMS

Goodluck with your exams
