Spiritually lost hope

HI, I am not sure where to start so please bear with me! I am 33, live with my husband and children. I have been on a spiritual search for as long as I can remember, since being about 4 or 5. I had a christian family so was very involved in a pentecostal church as a teenager and young adult. Due to a number of events in the church concerning the pastor, I left the church and never went back. I have since read books eg by Jonathon Freke and do not believe in any Jesus based patriarchal religion. I have been interested in a number of different 'beliefs' over the past 10 years or so eg Native American, goddess, paganism, reiki (I am qualified to level 2 but dn't use it), tarot and other divination methods (again, don't use it) etc Now I just don't know what I believe! Not only that, I dont know what I want in life either. I have recently developed a neurological condition that is not life threatening but it is debilitating and painful. It has changed my life dramatically and I get quite down about it sometimes. I have lost alot and can't see my way forward sometimes, I wonder what the point of my life is -not in a suicidal way, I have 2 lovely children to live for! It just goes round and round in my head, 'what is the point of life' and 'what is my purpose'. I am restricted now physically and I can't see anyway out of a dark tunnel I am going down. Further and further down, it is getting darker, and I don't know what to do. I have lost all my faith in all sort of healing. I have tried so many things, there is no cure for the condition and I can't believe this is my life now. I used to be positive, ambitious, and inspired with dreams but now I am nothing. I used to believe there was nothing impossible, that the mind could overcome, create and sustain anything we wanted. I have lost faith in god, the universe and myself. Please help me. Thank you for reading.

My belief is that losing faith is exactly what we are supposed to do, or some of us anway;) The things that are thrown at us through our lives take some dealing with, and yours is now at its peak.

Loose it altogether, your current 'faith' and you will find a stronger one waiting for you when the time is just right;)

Something will happen, which will change it all around - and that take FAITH to believe in:D:D but it will.

The dark makes way to Light, ALWAYS - never fails, spiritually and scientifically - hang on in there, and hey, come onto HP when you feel low and share with us 😉 we may be able to uphold you in some way, however small.

Hello,

I was deeply touch by your situation. it is hard for you to read and listen to others as I can only try to understand what it must be like in your situation but as none of us can really feel what anyone is going through. After saying that I truly feel and believe what Sunanda has said, that you must try to take these steps slowly and hopefully you will start to see results.

You have made a positive start by sharing your feeling and thoughts with us.

I know it cannot be easy. My healing thoughts are with you.

Thank you all so much, I am sat here in tears at the beautiful and wise replies. I can't believe how much care and love I can feel from you all, it is overwhelming esp as you don't even know me.
I know what you say is right.
Sorry this is such a quick blanket reply. Once the children are in bed tonight I will be able to read all your messages thoroughly and reply properly.
