im trying to look into karma, what we do onto others we do onto ourselves, i do belive in karma and that each thought and deed we do has an effect on others and then back to ourselves. we try to be good and have good thoughts but we do slip up and the man side takes over, we still have free will so we are always going to be in receipt of both good and bad karma however we try. has anyone any thought s on "Karma".

love and light

RE: karma

I believe this very strongly, since I have actually seen it at first hand.

About 5 years ago, maybe slightly more, I had a job working for a large DIY chain, selling kitchens. The Kitchen Manager there was a bit of a pig, to say it lightly. He used to swan in at 9am, and clock off at 5pm every night, leaving everyone else to do all the late nights, and the majority of weekends. Most of the time he was not even in the department in fact, but working in other parts of the store, leaving us to just get on with things. There were other things as well, such as trying to get me to change my day off, when he knew it was my therapy day (I was still practising then), and the only one the clinic could offer me, and trying to con me out of my commission, by saying that leads were his instead of mine.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the company decided to close all the kitchen departments and make all the staff redundant. I was lucky and managed to get another job fairly quickly, working for another kitchen company. After I had been there 2 weeks, who walked in as the new Designer - you guessed it! At first I was gutted and kept wondering what on earth was going on, why had he come back into my life so quickly, had I not learnt whatever it was I was meant to be dealing with? The lesson though was not for me, but for him.

You see this time, the roles were reversed, he was not now my Manager, but a Designer. My role though hadn't changed, as I was still the lead taker. The difference was that I was in charge of the Diary booking appointments for him, and because he was reliant on commission, many of these were in the evenings and at weekends. The very hours that he had refused to do in the previous job, leaving me to deal with. The tables then were now reversed, and he now had to watch me leaving at 5.30 every night, while his girlfriend complained about not spneding time with him. A classic example of how the law of cause and effect works.

I am afraid to say that my ego enjolyed watching every single minute of this. I only stayed in the job 6 months, as my Mum died, enabling me to take time off. I often wonder though what happened to him, and whether he realised what was going on.

RE: karma

Dear Talisman and Julie

Now this is an interesting thread. I have had first experience of Karmic related sitauations and illness upon within and around people I have come in touch with. My new term for what is I am blessed in being able to do and continuing to develop in is (Garbage disposal:D) I am sure you know what I mean when I say that[&:]

People come to me with all sorts of problems that are prohibiting their spiritual development and growth. So I look into it, either I get told then I see or it could be the other way round ( everyone is different) These blocks are usualy related to past life issues, as well as patterns arising in this time, to be acknowledged and released.

We have come to this dimension carrying all out bagage, and this will for most of us be accepted and released. With all the vibrational changed going on with humanity and mother earth then this is helping us move on and out sould to shine brighter.[sm=offtopic.gif]

If you have noticed all the people here talking of their blocks and issues, its all part of the release pattern, the deeper acknowledgment of who they are and why we are here.

I wonder if you see a pattern arising here.....[&:]

Love
Ithar:)

RE: karma

well i suppose id best own up. You see what happened last week was i had a lot of parcels delivered, i just threw them into a cupboard as i was having a lot of plastering done. About half an hour after the delivery man knocked the door with another parcel and said have i gave you one that wasnt yours, i replied no sorry. Anyway to cut a long story short my hubby came home and went into the cupboard and got out the parcels and opened them and i went into the kitchen and there were a couple of items on the table i hadnt ordered, so when i rechecked the packing there was one not for me so i lied and now i had got an open parcel that wasnt mine. my excuse is i was harrasssed with having plaster everywhere. now what do i do do i tell and make my self look a liar or do i just ignore it the items wernt mine so i couldnt use them so i have just ummed and arred about what to do. i went to my circle on wednesday night and the words io got in meditation were, penance, karma, and delivery. so my home work this week was to research karma, do you think someone is trying to tell me something? I have sort of redemed my self another parcel was delivered that wasnt for me and i chased the post man and gave it him back so i hope i have started to change the karma or im in trouble

You know, Julie, if the goods that weren't for you were for someone near you, it's really really simple. What you do is put everything in a carrier bag, knock on their door and explain sincerely that you opened the parcel by mistake, without looking at the name on the label and you feel SOOOO embarassed but here they are! Easy peasy. Just do it!

(You know, what I've been told is that karma is actually a lot more complicated and far reaching than this example so don't worry...every act you perform, and I do mean every act, carries a weight of karma with it, unless it is performed totally selflessly. Even doing good deeds embroils you in karma; it is apparently impossible for us to know whether the result will be good or bad, and a lot of it gets carried over to our next life anyway.)

Good luck.

PS IMHO it would not be correct to keep the items. If you think about the word 'integrity' that would be a good one to meditate on!
