Hiya,
I just wondered about what happened this morning. I was sat in my room when a bird, grey/white pigeon flew at my window, with a thump, tried to sit on the ledge but was no space, and so after flapping, it flew off.
Jung was aware of the meaning of things like this, but I wonder what it means for me. Also I went to wales the other week, and as I was walking up to a bench to sit down, I noticed a Raven perched on the right top of the bench I sat down and it flew off, and then my mate had a seagul making the sound that it does at his feet.
I walked out the other day and a pigeon flew over my left shoulder nearly missing my face. I also notice a magpie sat on a fence across the way from me, more than a few times. I also notice a Raven on the top of lamp posts, it seems that this bird is following me, like a guide or something. Can anyone give insight upon all of this?

Hi SolarFire, The best thing to do is to search the internet for the particular animal, in this case, pigeon, and type the word 'symbolism' next to it.
The following website has a comprehensive list on animals, but not all of them, so use the above method to find any others not on this website.

Sometimes (usually) it is as easy as the fact that there are birds in this world and there are people. Often our paths cross.
If Spirit wants to tell us something they don't need to use obscure ways to communicate. We can easily communicate with one another--they are infinitely more capable.
We make it all so very hard for ourselves to understand. Relax and enjoy the ride. (Is that a quote from Vortex?) =)

From my personal perspective, I tend to believe that there are such things as signs and omens. In fact, as a group, in our healing tutorials last July we took a workshop in that subject, and it was fascinating.
Some of it I couldn't get to grips with, in my heart, it didn't seem to relate to anything I understood in this reality, other points that were discussed made perfect sense.
I believe that we should be more aware of signs such as your experience with birds, and this may be a way in which the higher dimensions choose to communicate sometimes. Birds can signal a warning, 'magpies' or opportunity 'thrush' for example. Seeing other animals on a on off situation, anything out of the ordinary, (which includes everything not just animals) can often be a signal of some sort.
It is the interpretation which is difficult. Our tutor was so practised at this after 25 years of spiritual healing and training, and being an Empath herself, she found it easier. She looked down through the layers, very deeply, as you also have to do with dreams. The first and most obvious interpretation is not the answer you are looking for.
It taught us all in our group to be more aware, not necessarily to spend valuable time looking for such occurances, but to note them when they happened and to dig deep for the message.

I also believe in birds as messengers especially if they behave odd, in our family it is a sign of big changes with impacts. Afcourse the meaning is different for everyone, but this is what it means in our family.
The egyptians saw the birds Ka as messangers of the soul or something i believe.

I have had many experiences of synchronicity and I find it one of the most exciting ways to 'communicate' with the unseen world - it is fun !
The one thing that you may not have tried, which always works (even if you have to be a little patient ) is to ASK SPIRIT. It will always send the answer, you just have to keep your eyes and mind open to see it.
I often have to remind myself that I should ask the sender ! Rather obvious, but usually we ask other mortals and then wonder why noone can tell us the answer.
