Hi, I think one of the best movie's was Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life. I will see this movie at Christmas time every year. And another excellent movie is The Mad Mad Mad World. This movie was a comedy movie and I think over 20 famous actors in it. What's your favorite movie and actor(s)?

From sf films Dune is my favorite, i can watch that over and over again.
Then there are al lot of good kung fu movies, with my favorite stars Jet Li and chow yun fat.
Then there are action films where i like Quentin Tarantino films the best.

Classics; bringing up baby with Gary Grant, in fact almost al movies with Gary Grant
Romantic films: romancing the stone,
Horror: The others, ghost ship, interview with the vampire
Japanese films: 101 girls, the ring, battle royale, ichi the killer

Chinese films;The story of Quan Jin
Frensh films; vidoq and amelie
English films; snitch and saving grace
Australian films; Whoop whoop/big red

I have so many favourite films it is difficult really to know where to start. Our DVD collection contains a wide variety of different types of films ranging from silent movies to sci fi to weepie dramas. The films that spring most immediately to mind as being definite favourites would be The Colour Purple, What Dreams May Come and of course anything to do with Babylon 5. Those who are regulars here will know that both Colin and I are huge fans of this remarkable sci fi series which completely changed the landsape of American television.

I adore all films, but I hate ones that are too violent with lots of fighting and shooting. they disturb me. I like thrillers and romantic comedies. My favourite lady actress is Rene Zellweiger and my favourite male actor is Gary Oldman.

as many before have said... it is difficult to pick just one film among tha many. But to pick a recent one.... well I will definetely have to agree with Angel that it has to be The Lord of the Rings, both episodes. Likewise I must have watched them... at least n times so far and always find myself glued to the screen (no, not literaly!).
As for actors.... uhm... possibly harrison Ford I would say or Sean Connery.

Moulin Rouge with the lovely Ewan McGregor!!! Fantastic, love the bit where he sings and dances over the clouds.
Like most musicals, Grease, Bugsy Malone, West Side Story. Oliver etc. Suspense - The Others, Sixth Sense. Comedy - Airplane, Space Balls, Back to the Furture, Monty Python (especially Life of Brian). Not much of a film watcher, has to be really good for me to sit through them.
And of course, anything starring the lovely Ewan McGregor.

Lord of the Rings both of them i think they are great.
In the line of comedy i just enjoy so much 'Meet the parents' for me it is hilarious.
Grease has to be one of my all time favourite musicals.
What dreams may come, Sixth Sense and Ghost more or less the same feild.
Dirty Dancing and Pretty woman.
Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks also Cuba Gooding jnr i think thats his name he stars in a lovely true story about an african american who wanted to be a navy diver i just cant remember the name of the film right now but i love it i think it was men of honour with Robert De Niro also one of my favourites.

Oh definitely 'Witness' - Harrison Ford. I loved him in Raiders of the Lost Ark as well.
Oh and 'Romancing the Stone' with Michael Douglas. Then there's 'The Green Mile' with Tom Hanks and Mel Gibson in 'Braveheart' and ................... I'd better stop now, there's so many.

Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in "The Road" movies
Bob Hope in I think its "Going My way" where he plays a priest and sings swinging on a star with that lovely old irish actor.
Cary Grant in Gone with the Wind
Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca
John Wayne in absolutely any of his movies but I suppose especially in The Quiet Man - again with aforementioned Irish actor.
Sean Connery, who makes me go weak at the knees at the mear mention of his name, in absolutely any of his movies.
Mel Gibson - those eyes - in Braveheart and yes Fiona there were lots of things wrong with that film I quite agree with you - however I'd still like to see what he's got up his kilt (ooh wash my mouth out)

CRY FREEDOM, FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD, GHANDI, MISSING, MISSING IN ACTION, DANCES WITH WOLVES, THE LION KING, HOMEWARD BOUND, FORREST GUMP, LOVE STORY, PRETTY WOMAN and so many others, especially true stories, ones with animals which aren't cruel of course & true war stories. Can't sit through Sci-fi, Kung-fu or anything related to the martial arts or other senseless action types. I'm a big crybaby 
so those that move me to tears always seem to have the most lasting impressions.

AHHHHHHHHHHH Sylvie We share the same cloud girl! Oh, An Officer and a Gentleman & The Rocky Horror Picture Show .... MMMMMmmmmmmm Brad & Janet .... :D:D:D I was going 'steady' with a guy who came from an amazingly talented musical family at the time, and he dragged me & his parents (His Dad being my Dad's Medical Durector at the time .... & 'cause for much concern & disruption on my side! - Dad disapproving of this 500%) off to see this one more than once ... & within days of it's debut, some of his siblings put on a ' SPECIAL FEATURE' Ha - ha - ha - haaaaaaa for us all in their home ...... memories that nobody can EVER deprive me off, even if he's long gone HISTORY!
I'll definitely think of you the next time a movie really resonates with me & touches the core of my heart!
