We've done all this before of course, but what things do you find annoying.
A couple from me
Why do clothes manufacturers think it is a good idea to put ties on the majority of tops. Grown women are not children and don't need to tie bows back or front, in my view they don't enhance the look of the top, just make it ridiculous. You can't really put the cord out either, as you are left with two carriers.
Why do cyclist insist on riding in the road when there is a cycle lane on the pavement for them. When I come home from work there is at least one of these clever dicks who likes to do this, making all of us car drivers have to get round him. OK if there is no cycle lane, but if like this case there is....use it! We have had to pay for it.
With regards to women's tops, what I find annoying are those long loops inside of the shoulders! I know it's to stop them falling off the hangers but if you don't cut them off they end up hanging out of your top at some stage!! Probably loads more but if I start thinking too much this could be a very long post.
Those little loops used to annoy me too, but I just thought I would share a great use that I made of them.
Unbeknown to me, one of my friends had been cutting these loops out of her clothes and squirreling them away for years "just in case". She had hundreds. Then, last year, another friend of ours got married and asked me to make her table favours. I made lots of little chocolates, bagged them up in cellphane and guess what I tied the bags up with? The ribbons from the hundreds of annoying little loops that our other friend had been saving! Really made them look fab - and all the different colours meant they were a bit individual.
So - I am saving all mine now. You never know when they might come in handy.

Brilliant.. I love a bit of creative recycling....
Its very annoying when ringing a company and having to press this that and the other number, before we we eventually get to what we think is someone who knows what they are talking about. To find they know little more than the machine we have just gone through an assault course to navigate.

Yes, yes, me too! I have to cut them off as soon as I get the top home :D:D

Wow!
I save the ribbon from soaps and chocolates that are gifted to me. Then when I make hand-made cards, I use the ribbons.

Good idea! Think I will start doing that. I usually keep them then don't know what to do with them! Popping them ontop of pressies would just add to the gift wrap too. Love all the tips we can pick up here on hp!
How annoying ... when a thread goes :offtopic:
[Just joking! :D]
How annoying ... trying to separate a new purchase from its bubble wrap If you'd seen me yesterday struggling to undo my new electric toothbrush - nearly ruined the kitchen scissors, a sharp knife and my hands :banghead:

Oops sorry! Do you mean the stuff you pop with your fingers or that nasty rigid plastic that seems to be moulded to the object?
Websites that don't publish your reviews or comments, do you have to pay 'em or something as some sort of bribe?!
Paper jams in paper shredders, I spend more time poking around with a pair of scissors or a bent knitting needle than actually shredding
Bubble wrap, deffo, or excessive packaging of any kind, where you end up thinking 'do they want me to eat/use/listen to this!!!!!
Ok, I'm a rush hour fascist, but people with push chairs or push bikes on trains in rush hour (know this is bound to upset someone - sorrrrrreeeeee!!!)
People who play their mobile phone music/mp3 without headphones in public spaces
El
People who drive around in their shiny 4-wheel drives who think they OWN the roads - and maybe we should bow and scrape and doff our hats too!! - and take up more than their alotted space in the local supermarket car park. On the same tack - those who scrape down the side of my car and drive off!
Shrink wrapping round products that requires a PhD in undoing wrapping to get at the contents. I should also include opening jars (jam and the like) where the lids are so tight that anyone frail living on their own would have to ask someone else (milkman, neighbour, etc) to get them opened.
How annoying.........to find yourself in the slowest moving checkout in the supermarket
and another thought...
Waiting for an available petrol pump,,, when everyone is inside the garage/shop doing their grocery shopping before paying for their fuel and getting out of the way!!!!!

Oh and that too - but I always seem to choose the slowest, where ever the queue is :D, and I've become resigned to that ...
Plus size companies that think most larger ladies have thin arms

Oh yes! Big car-ed people who can't drive/park them - and I am sorry to say, at the risk of being accused of disrespect to my "sisters" - it is often us girls who are guilty. It drives me mad to see huge gas guzzling things screeching to a halt outside the school which I pass on the way to work, holding up a whole road of traffic and then one child getting out. ONE! It wouldn't be so bad if they were doing the car share thing....
Another one for me is this. At work I continually give out information about how to apply to us for grants - website, where to get an application form, closing date, eligibility requirements etc. So - why is it that when people phone up to ask about these things and I start to tell them, quite a few of them say - "Hang on a minute. I'll just get a pen." They just called me to get information for heaven's sake! How else did they think I was going to give it to them - osmosis?
Rachel
You have reminded me of another.
Information in general, too much of it. Reams of paper being used, millions of unnecessary words. Whatever happened to keep it simple.
Alright, if we are going to get annoyed with drivers of big cars...
I often pull a horse trailer with my big car - with a live horse inside (go figure). Often times, someone in a small car will pull in front of me (cutting it close, mind) and then slow down suddenly. Part of learning to drive should involve pulling a heavy trailer so that such drivers will know that it is not easy to slow such a thing down - with a live animal inside not knowing what is going on!
Reminded of another today....when someone says "it's deceiving" when they mean "it's deceptive" - really bugs me (not sure why though! Must be a closet pedant :))

My bugbear is along the lines of the cycle path one - we have a canal running through our town & not far away from the canal is a purpose-made, off-road cycle path - guess which one the cyclists use? I'm often tempted to yell at the cyclist, who has just loudly rung their bell expecting my dog & I to move off the canal footpath so they can cycle past, that there is a proper cycle path just down the road which runs parallel to the canal so why don't they go use that!!

Hi Scott
I have no problems with those who have large vehicles for a purpose - like moving horses, of which we have many here - but those shiny 'chelsea tractors' used for shopping! And yes, I agree about those who have no idea about overtaking vehicles with livestock trailers. I think lorry drivers have similar problems.
All the best

I cut them off and save them to hoik my bra straps together to convert a normal bra into a multiways one
White tags on black knickers!
Junk mail!! Junk mail and people from call centres that call you up... you run to the phone thinking it's your parents or a call from school and, no, it's just someone trying to sell you cheaper internet. Infuriating!!
