Hello ( =

for the last 3 years in a row about August time, I have had a butterfly come to stay at my home, usually stays for between 12-16 weeks then freely flutters off!
Cute, but does anyone know this meaning....

I wondered if this is a sign / message from a passed loved one...? Be great to hear if you do or know of a person who may be able to kindly answer this....

Thank you (in advance)

Ignoring the 'spiritual' possibilities, that's quite common for the lifetime of butterflies. We get's loads of them around our house (because of what we have in the garden) and frequently have them flying into the house. Always around the same time of year too (weather depending) as it dictates when the caterpillars turn into butterflies and, as the temperature drops, they look for warmer shaded places to over-winter (assuming they don't die first)

As Energylz has said it. We find butterflies fluttering g about or just stuck in corners on the beams depending on the temperature each day..the a bit later on bats...then much later as season change...frogs come craoking. It is all seasons and their magic.

Everything is a sign if you start looking for signs.
Random happenings and mind can find a solace from it, by perceiving it as a message and that is fine thing to do. Most creatures have qualities assigned to them. If it fits your vision, If it brings troubled mind some solace then it is a sign, at least for you.
You needed to create this for bringing some peace into heart. The whole throbbing creative process around us in the form of life, is a sign of something bigger than us. It is how you look at things.

Mostly, we can completely keep ignoring what is right in front of us. A butterfly, a random, cause less flutter, here now gone the next moment, lived her moment and gone, oblivious of affect of her flutter in our human minds that conjured up and read signs in her flutter....
Mind is a fascinating perpetual creative machine.

Our looking for signs is rooted in our search for peace. Loose and natural, in the flow either everything is a sign or nothing is. When our heart is at peace it seeks no signs.

May hearts find peace

By "spirit world" are you meaning general spirits or just dead people?

Possibly. Possibly a personally delivered message from the butterfly to the plant. Not everything is about humans.

You have no house plants? Okay, other butterflies, spiders, whatever. The point is that very few things that animals do is centred around human beings, no matter how important we think we are.
It's not going to be the same butterfly - the average life span of an adult butterfly (and if it weren't adult it wouldn't be a butterfly) is two weeks. Some manage as long as six months. It differs with species. The markings would be the same - that only means that it is the same species (and, for some, the same sex).
In any case, it's not much of a message if it can't be understood, is it? If you are really anxious for a message from a dead person, you could try the Spiritualist Church. It doesn't appeal to me, but many people get comfort from it. Or, if it's general spirits that you are thinking about, you need to investigate shamanism.

I like this jnani, I found your whole reply to hydeee (is that correct) interesting. I just wish to goodness my life had not the experiences it has as I can't find that peace.

Interesting observation there Hydee, I would feel the same way. How I wish someone can come up with a good explanation.
