I am not quite sure how you are going to demonstrate that a symbol has its own power or the power to do anything on its own, but I will eagerly await the results of your experiments and verifications.
I don't really feel the need to prove or disprove Japanese spiritual beliefs, I embrace Reiki and its underlying principles. The proof of Reiki is in every treatment I give to myself and every other person I treat.
life force energy remains completely natural irrespective of the symptoms of health/disease and wellbeing that are created by it, the life force energy can do nothing on its own for it is completely neutral, in order for healing to happen, then a change is required in the way that we think and are
I am not quite sure how you are going to demonstrate the above Paul.... 😉
Chemicals and frequencies can make a change in the physical body and that includes its central processor that we call the brain, chemicals will change the way the brain functions and for a while they will feel differently, but when they stop taking the drugs, then nothing has changed because the drugs have no effect upon the underlying inner conflicts that lie outside of the physical body within consciousness.
At what point did I suggest taking drugs? I mentioned the effects of exogenous EM fields on changing the chemical messages. Once changed or deleted, that is it for that message i.e. thought pattern/belief.
That is what I asked you, what have you learned in studying Reiki that will enable you to consciously transform an underlying thought pattern and belief into a different one, in either yourself or someone else?
Healers should learn to heal themselves before they start to heal others, after all if they do not experience the process of healing for themselves, then they will not be able to recreate that process in someone else, but that is a bit different than just sitting down mindlessly to apply a preprogrammed routine to self each day do you not think?
Do you insist then Paul that the people who come to you to learn to be practitioners are fully healed before they go onto heal others - if so, what are you calling fully healed - in perfect physical health for instance?
Also, as we are already whole, with only the divisions/conflicts creating the illusion of seperateness - then what is there really to heal? Unless something is being judged as right or wrong - all events are neutral.

No, I don't think that, but if I went into further detail, I can only see that it would lead to an impasse... never mind.
I asked you earlier in this thread why it is that sometimes you say - unless a person adheres to the instructions of a healing modality as set out by the founder of the modality then it won't work. And know you're saying Reiki doesn't work, at all. Going through the motions and ritually following the instructions, doesn't work. You still haven't explained what you mean.
Hi Daz
Its a difficult one I think Paul . A geometric structure in its self I would say holds a blue print or a form of energy . If one paints a circle on ones forehead does the outline of the circle create a feeling of well being or balance for that person just because there is a symbol upon ones head .
Does the Individual need to be aware of what is drawn one their forehead in order to create an effect or does the awareness of such a circle create the effect .
Feelings are thing that we create within our bodies as a response to our thoughts, a symbol has no power in itself, but if we choose to think it has, then we will create a physiological response within our bodies every time we perceive or think of it.
It is the same with a perceived fear, the fear might not exist outside of our thoughts, but the feelings associated with that fear will manifest within our bodies whenever we think of it.
The power lies within us, if we choose to think that one colour holds more power than another colour, then we will look for the colour that we choose to perceive as the highest colour and work with that perception, if we believe in frequencies, then we will believe all of the hype about one modality being much higher in frequency than the next one, etc.
The reality is very simple, all is one within the oneness of consciousness, there is no higher or lower, better of worse, there is only the way that we choose to perceive things and the judgements that we place upon our perceptions.

Whilst I appreciate that we bury thoughts and feelings within the body, that body is not our consciousness, ask most ladies who have had a child and if they were not preoccupied when they conceived, then they will have probably been aware of the moment of fertilisation through the addition of the consciousness of the new being which has joined with the cell as it fertilised.
As for proving that the life force energy is neutral!
The life force energy that we utilise is completely neutral until we pass it through our core way of being, we decide if we are going to experience a life filled with anger, sadness, suffering, happiness and joy, we place judgemental beliefs into our matrix of consciousness which are not neutral, the life force energy that we sustain our general state of health and wellbeing is completely neutral, but we are not.
The life fore energy is not aware of if we are utilising it to create an environment where disease or wholeness will manifest, the life force energy that we maintain our existence and heal with is neutral, but we are not, we give the life force energy direction, which is why it is important for healers to learn to heal and develop themselves, it requires wholeness to create wholeness and division to create division.
Hi WildStrawberry
Do you insist then Paul that the people who come to you to learn to be practitioners are fully healed before they go onto heal others - if so, what are you calling fully healed - in perfect physical health for instance?
They need to learn to create and maintain wholeness within the fullness of self, so that they can recreate that for someone else, wholeness is a way of being.
Also, as we are already whole, with only the divisions/conflicts creating the illusion of seperateness - then what is there really to heal? Unless something is being judged as right or wrong - all events are neutral.
Take a closer look WildStrawberry, our higher self remains whole and neutral irrespective of what we choose to create in the other aspects of consciousness, yes our life experience is neutral but we are not, what we do here has no impact upon our higher self, but our other aspects of consciousness has a direct bearing upon our life experience in the here and now.
The divisions are real here, the inner turmoil is real here, the state of health and wellbeing is real here, if we create cancer then it is real here, healers deal with the here and now, for that is the sum totality of our existence right now.

Sort of, if a person adheres to the way that a modality is set up to work, then they will be recreating the way that the modality was set up to function, if they go off at a tangent or do not learn how to use the modality properly, then they are now doing their own thing and the outcome will be unpredictable.
I am not saying that Reiki does not work, for it does, but the effectiveness of the application of a modality comes down to the development and understanding of the individual practitioner, the modalities can do nothing on their own, they require the consciousness of the people who choose to utilise them to function.

That is not proof, that is your opinion and belief. It may make sense to you, but that is because you formulated this understanding of healing based on your own personal experiences combined with your level of awareness. We know nothing on a Universal level, all we have is our own personal beliefs and understanding and any insights we get or think we get.
I am not saying that Reiki does not work, for it does, but the effectiveness of the application of a modality comes down to the development and understanding of the individual practitioner, the modalities can do nothing on their own,
I do not believe that is true for Reiki. Reik is a process driven modality. The founder developed a process of connection and channelling that will allow any practitioner to channel and apply energy - as long as the same process is used in the same way, the energy will flow in the same way and will have the same effect. Sort of like turning on a tap, it does not matter who turns on the tap, the same water will flow.

All is one within the oneness of consciousness, if we choose to move beyond self, then we can connect with the fullness of everything. 🙂

It is the same for all of the modalities, yes they are process driven, but the process has to be instigated by the practitioner, Usui is no longer here to drive the Reiki modality, but the practitioners are, it is the way that each individual practitioner chooses to utilise the modality and pass it through their underlying though patterns and beliefs that creates the outcome, if no one was using the modality, then the modality itself would be completely inert.
Everything begins and ends with a thought, healing is not an exception to that, it is driven by it. 😉
They need to learn to create and maintain wholeness within the fullness of self, so that they can recreate that for someone else, wholeness is a way of being.
If they need to create and maintain wholeness - what aspect of them is doing the creating and maintaining: It has to be something outside of the wholeness which is making a judgement about not being already whole.
You are saying here, our higher self remains whole and neutral:

Surely, there's a judgement of right and wrong still in the system if you're judging your self (what you're calling aspects of consciousness) as being something that isn't also neutral.
The divisions are real here, the inner turmoil is real here, the state of health and wellbeing is real here, if we create cancer then it is real here, healers deal with the here and now, for that is the sum totality of our existence right now.
Yes, I understand what you're saying
Sort of, if a person adheres to the way that a modality is set up to work, then they will be recreating the way that the modality was set up to function, if they go off at a tangent or do not learn how to use the modality properly, then they are now doing their own thing and the outcome will be unpredictable.

Which begs the question of why you ever moved away firstly from your own healing methods, and then moved on from from Reiki, if they work with predictable outcomes.
I know the modalities can do nothing on their own, it would be like saying a car has a will of it's own 🙂 (I swear mine does ..... oh alright, it might be me that's the root cause of all that traffic mayhem :D)
All is one within the oneness of consciousness,
That is still a belief and not a provable fact. It may be true or it may not be - because you or anyone else believes it does not make it fact - it either is or is not regardless.
It is the same for all of the modalities, yes they are process driven, but the process has to be instigated by the practitioner, Usui is no longer here to drive the Reiki modality, but the practitioners are, it is the way that each individual practitioner chooses to utilise the modality and pass it through their underlying though patterns and beliefs that creates the outcome,
That is a good point. The practitioner instigates the healing process through their intentions and actions, but the practitioner does not heal, the energy heals. The practitioner is integral to the process so needs to work appropriately, even though they themselves are not doing the healing.
Hi WildStrawberry
If they need to create and maintain wholeness - what aspect of them is doing the creating and maintaining: It has to be something outside of the wholeness which is making a judgement about not being already whole.
You are saying here, our higher self remains whole and neutral:
Yes that is correct our higher aspect of consciousness remains whole, neutral and unaffected by our life experience here, please remember that our higher self is not what we are thinking with, it mostly observes and help us to create whatever we choose to experience from our core way of being, it also warns us when we are in danger, but that is about it, the rest is up to us whilst we remain a human being.
We create inner divisions and conflict between our thinking aspect of consciousness and other aspects of consciousness that we need to experience this reality whilst we are here. Whenever we argue or disagree with self, then we have an inner conflict.
Surely, there's a judgement of right and wrong still in the system if you're judging your self (what you're calling aspects of consciousness) as being something that isn't also neutral.
There is a difference between how our higher self works and the other aspects of our consciousness works, basically our life experience is neutral, but we can choose to accept it as it is, or we can choose to bring judgement into the equation and apply blame and guilt etc.
Which begs the question of why you ever moved away firstly from your own healing methods, and then moved on from from Reiki, if they work with predictable outcomes.
The answer to that is very simple, I could not teach others to heal the way that I do, until I found a way of connecting them to the way that I heal, I learnt that by learning other modalities and disassembling them, so that I could see how they where put together and worked.
That was the simple step, the hard bit was putting together the information that would portray the concept in an easy way for people to learn and make practical use of.
We create wholeness by healing the inner conflicts, letting go of our judgements and transforming our core way of being, so that all aspects of self are in balance and harmony.
I know the modalities can do nothing on their own, it would be like saying a car has a will of it's own 🙂 (I swear mine does ..... oh alright, it might be me that's the root cause of all that traffic mayhem :D)
Yes they certainly seem to have a mind of their own when we get onto black ice and it does not respond to anything that we are trying to make it do. 🙂
Hi Omega1
To experience the oneness of consciousness, requires us to move beyond the constraints of our everyday thinking aspect of consciousness and embrace the fullness of self, but that is a personal choice. 🙂
That is a good point. The practitioner instigates the healing process through their intentions and actions, but the practitioner does not heal, the energy heals. The practitioner is integral to the process so needs to work appropriately, even though they themselves are not doing the healing.
There is a contradiction in that post, you agree that healers instigate the healing process through their intentions and actions, but you then say that they do not heal!
Can I suggest that the next time you are ready to perform healing, in stead of stating your intention to start healing, that you state your intention to have no part in the healing what so ever, because you do not believe that you can heal and see what happens. 😉
The concept of what healing energy is a whole other subject. 🙂

Not sure it's a contradiction Paul. A person can instigate a fire by striking a match and putting it to the wood/paper, but they are not the creator of fire themselves.
Can I suggest that the next time you are ready to perform healing, in stead of stating your intention to start healing, that you state your intention to have no part in the healing what so ever, because you do not believe that you can heal and see what happens. 😉
Obviously if we don't strike the match, the fire will not light itself.
The concept of what healing energy is a whole other subject. 🙂
Agreed. The term energy is used in so many contexts that confusion usually arises. We can say that ego is not energy on the one hand because of the content in which we are perceiving energy, but then on the other hand we can look at energy in the context of "everything is energy" (the old E=mC^2 thing) and perceive ego as being energy too. All depends on context. 🙂
