Hello everyone,
During a reiki session, my client said that she had her eyes closed but could see on the ceiling a white spider that turned into a white frog, that then began to to turn green.
I was working in on her head at the time. I wondered if anyone has had anything similar happen and what it meant. It just seemed very strange and i wondered about what it could be symbolising.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks everyone!
Nisha

No ideas at the moment but I always see colours when I am in Reiki.
Hi Nisha,

People see all sorts of things so it's not unusual.
However, like with dream interpretations, it's better for us not to assume anything but to work with the client in understanding it.
Because everybody associates things in different ways, a spider to one person may have a different meaning to a spider to another person.
The first thing would be to ask the client what these things mean to them.
e.g. we could assume that the spider represents 'scared' and the frog represents 'something slipping through' whilst the white turning to green could represent 'jealousy', so it could be that she is scared of losing someone or something through being jealous.
However she may not see spiders as being scary, perhaps she finds them 'complex and interesting' and perhaps the frog represents 'leaping' and the white to green represents 'moving from winter to spring' so overall it could be that she has interesting times ahead in spring and can't wait to leap ahead to that time.
Without knowing what things mean to her, we would be purely speculating based on our own understanding of these things. I personally wouldn't try and interpret it myself without knowing the correct associations.
Love and Reiki Hugs
Hi Nisha,

I seem to agree a lot with what you say Giles!
I receive images (amongst other things) a lot when giving treatments as do my clients. Its important to remember that whatever, and however something is received it belongs to the client and not to you. It is therefor the client's to find insight and interpretation in and not your role to do this. As Giles says it can be helpful to talk it through with the clinet to help them though.
An example is that I was working an a client and had a clear image of a black and white cat walking up and down, tail held high. At the end of the treatment I just asked if she had a black and white cat and she laughed and told me it was her daughter who had a pair of balck and white pyjamas which she insisted on wearing and which made her look like a cat. As I said, not mine to interpret and if I had I would have been so off base!
