Hello everyone
I wasn't sure where to post this query,as it may sound quite ridiculous, but I thought energy healing was perhaps the way to go. Perhaps you can shed some light.
At night, when I'm opening envelopes, I can see absolutely clearly and vividly, a bright blue/white light flickering, as if it is sparking, exploding from the sticky part ofthe envelope when I'm opening it! It is completely bizarre, and if I try to stick the envelope back together, it happens again when I rip it open a second time, but with less sparking.
This has been happening for quite some time now, although I haven't gotten round to seeing if anyone else can see it too, as yet. They will probably think I'm going crazy!
I have been involved in shamanic energy work in the past, as well as thai massage work, however I'm not currently practising either very much at the moment. However, I have had a repetitive thought about filling my body with light recently, doing light work, or just bathing in the sun.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I don't know if it makes sense at all, and I would be interested to find out if anyone else has had the same experience. The funny thingis, the light is clearly visible, it is not like my shamanic healing work, where sensing things, or trusting the pictures in my mind make up much of the work. The blue light is right there, as clear as day!
Hope you can help!
RE: Seeing bright blue light - what is this?
A 'common sense' suggestion might be that if it's night, and you're looking at a bright white envelope, then it could be tired eyesight.
However, that thought ^ doesn't much seem in the spirit of healthypages, does it:D:D
Whenever people see colours and ask what it means I'm always very hesitant to offer up suggestions, since these things have a significance that can only really be grasped by the person who has seen it. However, not wanting to be hasty in putting ideas in people's heads doesn't stop me from having the ideas myselfso...[8D]

Colour proves the existence of light, since it cannot exist without it. In a spiritual context, light is viewed as a spiritual energy, therefore seeing light can be interpreted as a connection or recognition of that force. Taking into account the text I've quoted, and your prevous comment about not having practiced shamanism or bodywork, perhaps this is a recognition of the need for spiritual energy in your life and activities? Also, blue is commonly associated with the throat chakra which embodies communication and expression, so that may have significance for you.
Have you tried meditating on it? I find this is the best way to find out, all that's required is a quiet space, open mindand receptiveness for the answer;)

It sounds to me like the friction in the glue is producing some sort of
piezoelectric effect or possibly a static charge. I used to have lots of fun watching charges build up when I was young. If you want a good show take the envolopes into a totally dark room and then watch the fire works. The Piezoelectric effect is mostly with Crystals and ceramics, Take two crystals and rub them together in a dark room.

Static Electricity - Explained
Static electricity is an electric charge built up on persons or objects through friction. It is most familiar as an occasional annoyance in seasons of low humidity, but can be destructive and harmful in some situations. When working in direct contact with integrated cicuit electronics, or in the presence of flammable gas, care must be taken to avoid accumulating and discharging static electricity.
Static electricity is electricity that does not flow in a current. Static electricity is generated by rubbing two nonmagnetic objects together. The friction between the two objects generates attraction because the substance with an excess of electrons transfers them to the positively-charged substance. Usually, substances that don't conduct current electricity (insulators) are good at holding a charge. These substances may include rubber, plastic, glass or pitch. The electrons that are transferred are stored on the surface of an object.
Materials Causing Charges
Static electricity is created by putting certain materials together and then pulling them apart causes excess electrical charges to be created on their surfaces. This can be done by pushing them together and pulling them apart or by rubbing the materials together, which is the main way it is created.

hi and love and light to you
the first thing i got when i read your post was, could it be the imprint of the person who handled or licked the envelope that youre seeing?

Hi, I too have experienced this vivid light blue colour when opening envelops. Its quite an amazing colour and clearly seen in day light. Its nice to know iam not the only one who has seen this and its always been with the self sealing envelopes. Its been a while since i done shear stress at tec/uni but i've always put it down to the chemicals being used in the glue. One moment its sitting there happy as larry and next your ripping it apart which takes energy. I guess you could draw a parallel with wood being snapped and you get a cracking sound so why not light when it comes to the glue....
Well thats my thought and iam sticking to it :Dor is that a bad pun?

I'm with Azalia on this one! Blue = communication = envelopes.......That's the kind of coincidence I like.....
