HI all I'm doing my Reiki 1 tomorrow & I can't wait I'm so excited but what I was wondering was how long should you wait before you do your Reiki II after your 1st attunement

This may not be a cut and dried answer, but I don't believe there is one. Two suggestions: See how you feel after Reiki 1. Discuss it with your Reiki Master tomorrow.

I would agree with the other members it is a very personal thing. The only input I would give is that when I teach Reiki Seichem, I usualy say, that you should leave it for about 3 months. As with my experience people can get a bit boged down emotionally with reiki 1, as this heals you, and sometimes this does not appear straight away. But as with all things the Reiki will let you know. Reiki is a life change and you will never be the same again. Enjoy the energy and go with the flow. Welcome to other side of life and the bigger family.

You may have guessed that I chose to give a rather downbeat and neutral reply to angel hands. The last thing I wanted to do was worry a new HPer on the eve of her first attunement about possible "side effects", emotional or otherwise.
I had a Reiki 1 student about a year ago who couldn't wait for his 21 days to be up so he could come back and do Reiki 2 with me. I did try to warn him, but he was adamant he was ready, so we went ahead, and then he went through the mincer and the mangle emotionally and every which way.
But maybe that was exactly the experience he needed to have at that time. Who am I to say?

You should do reiki 2 as soon as possible, the sooner the better, dont delay, do it today, now ,
dont listen to the wise ones here as they know what they are talking about.
book it now and do your masters the week after
this is the best way to learn, quickly and as many attunements as you can take in as short a time period as possible,
do as many reiki levels and styles that you can do.
Sorry to dissapoint you but if you do the above you will certainly become an energetic mess and maybe even mentally and emotionally unstable

do not be pressurised

Thanks all for the replies, my reiki master said much the same thing, when its right for me i'll know when to do it.
I had a marvellous day there were 5 of us from college had our attunements at the same time it was absolutely fantastic. I don't feel that much different today but I'm sure I will if I keep practicing. Our reiki master did explain about detoxing & going thru the emotional mill until our energies had settled down. It really was a life changing experience for us all.
Once again thanks for the replies I'm sure if I have any probs I'll get some good advice here.
