Hi All!

We would like to take reiki further, and undertake a University PhD
Research combining Reiki and Arts/Images (Once you do Reiki you see Images in your mind, so there is a "link" between Reiki/Spiritualism and Arts/Paintings/Drawings).

We believe all people can benefit from Reiki, and we want to spread
Reiki to more people - by introducing it to the "academic" University life.

Anyone heard of a UK University that deals with Integrated Therapies
(thats the Reiki part) and Humanities (thats the Art part)?

We see Life as the Creation of people themselves through : Thought, Word, and Deed.

We have created a Proposal - titled : "Life in the Image and Likeness;
Investigation into the sources of Creativity".
The "Source of Creativity" is the name we chose for Reiki/The Universse/The Divine/God - and we wish to Invesitage it.

We are now looking for a "proper" University to do the research, and for ideas, if anyone have any.

Thanks
Many Blessings and Love

Yes Anglia does too!

There is also a parapsychology seat at Edinburgh.

wow, talk about digging up old threads.... 21st March 2004

I've often though of putting down the images I see on paper, but it's just trying to remember them until I have the time and then I know that trying to get the correct representation will be one helluva task. I can't imagine, with my art skills, the picture coming out how I actually saw it.

RE: PhD University Research in Reiki?

I have an M.Th. from the University of Liverpool (though studied at the University of Chester) and the MA programmes at Chester, in the Theology & Religious Studies department, includes an MA in Contemporary Spirituality, with modules such as :

  • The New Age: Contemporary Spiritualities and Western Counterculture[*]Spirituality and Contemporary Popular Culture[*]Screening Scripture: Bible and Film

Although the last one concerns film-making, what I'm getting at is the crossover between Religious Studies / contemporary spirituality and the arts, and to me your project would fit into that crossover. I did the first one (New Age) as part of my MTh and there's a lot of flexibility there. Anyway - hope this is of some use to you. I'm really interested in your project - I like artwork / design myself and I'd like to be kept posted, if that's OK 🙂

Well, Giles, maybe it was buried but not quite dead, in view of the current interest 😀

Maybe the original posters have subscribed to the thread and been waiting for replies 😉

Fascinating - may it continue.

Laura.
