When doing self treatments of Reiki my eyes always flicker when Im doing the third eye chakra,is this normal?,has only happened with recent treatments.Does this happen to anyone else???.I did have eye surgery three years ago,just wonder if it is a physical imbalance???
It might be a physical things as well, do you put your hands near your eyes when you self-treat that part? Some people request not to put your hands on their face when doing Reiki for that reason. You could have become more sensitive to that.
Or it coul be something that's being treated at the moment. look into yourself and you will find the reason.
My eyes flicker too especially when a lot of energy is flowing through or when i've reached a different state of consciousness - it happens during self treatments and also sometimes when I'm treating others especially if I am useing Sei He Ki. They flicker so much sometimes it's like my eyes are strobing - a very strange feeling but I like it.
A lot of clients experience this too when I'm giving them treatments. I was taught that it is an indication of a change in your state of consciousness (i.e. entering alpha state) - it's REM.
I wouldn't have thought it was because you'd had eye surgery in the past. Maybe your third eye chakra was out of balance and more energy was being drawn at that point making your eyes flutter or maybe you had reached a truly deep, relaxing state, or maybe both!
