I've been gaining confidence in sending distant healing and wanted to grow a bit more. I wonder if you can help me?
I'd like to send distance healing to more than one recipient at a time. I've had a read through of some older threads and saw some interesting examples, e.g. posting names in a box with the symbols on the inside, names in a reiki healing book . . . Any other suggestions?
Also, can anyone explain how the distant healing would go to all those names? When sending distantly I concentrate on one individual, but how is it energetically possible to send healing to many people ? There's only so much energy I can channel at any given moment, so would the energy not be divided up between all those people making it less usefu to the individuals concerned?
Perhaps I'm thinking in too much of a linear way, but I'd be interested to hear everyone's views.

If I might presume to answer the point you made...
I'm a bit confused by what you write, Catherine:
We do not need to develop or mature,
We do not need to alter what we are,
We do not need to “do” anything.It doesn't ring true with any ideas I've come across about self-healing or moving on through life. If we do not need to do any of the things you mention why are we here experiencing this life?
I think what Catherine possibly meant here was that when we 'do' something, we bring ego and therefore human minds into the equation. When we are busy 'do-ing', then we are unable to 'be' and that leads to confusion and separateness.
When we 'be', then we see that there is no need to 'do' anything. When we go with the flow, we see how perfect we already are. It's a more Buddhist/Zen viewpoint, IMO.
Hope that hasn't muddled you even more! 😉 Sounds damn confusing reading it back...

I will try to clarify;
1. “We don’t need to develop or mature.”
Paul wrote in post 10, that the energy Beings
“do expect us at some point to develop and mature.”
I don’t agree.
The healing energies of Spirit do not have any expectations at all.
For they are unconditional Love;
And if they had expectations that we should develop and mature,
then that would be conditional wouldn’t it?
2. “We don’t need to alter what we are;”
We often accept our limitations by thinking that in order to “know” how to heal
we have to go through a system of learning how to “do it.”
We don’t.
We don’t need to alter ourselves to be able to allow healing.
We don’t need to go through a human process of learning the ropes.
For in the being of who we are;
Sharing Love
Is as natural as breathing.
There is no secret learning to be undergone, and
Healing is not confined to those in the know;
Love is here for all who ask.
And in the very nature of “being” who we are
and in the not “doing” what we think we should;
Love can flow.
3. “And no, we don’t have to “do” anything;”
Thanks for your input, Lorraine. Yes; it is the being not the doing.
And there is no pressure on us from the healing energies of Spirit to do anything;
and we do not have to work for Spirit.
There are no expectations that we must contribute to the whole.
For who knows what each of us have come to experience?
4. And so, why are we here?
I think that we are here to experience living.
For; being here; is our unique and individual experience.
And we all can have our own way of working with Spirit,
Our own way of healing with Spirit which is unique to us,
And that uniqueness of us cannot be taught by another human.
It is our own personal interaction with Spirit;
Go with the flow; that sounds good!!!!
All that you are,
And all that
You will be,
Is in you.

You appear to have misses out one of the most important things in our spiritual development in your last post, the journey.
IMO it is through the journey that we learn and develop, one step at a time until the journey is complete and we return where we come from.
With each step we take more unfolds and our understanding and consciousness develops and expands, we unfortunately can't make a journey by just being still we have to progress or the journey goes nowhere. 🙂

Thanks for the explanation about the experience of your journey, Catherine. I understand more clearly, particularly from your last posting. That fits in with my understanding of the reiki principle of working hard [on yourself].
