How long does a Kundalini Reiki treatment normally last? I have been given information that it lasts for 5 minutes and since my Reiki treatments last around an hour, I wondered if this was correct or whether I have misread the information?

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi Sig
No you have not read it wrong, once you have been working with the Kundalini Reiki energy for a while it builds up very fast and once a person is full then you cannot get any more in 🙂
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Do you do professional treatments for Kundalini Reiki? How do you normally arrange this if the actual treatment if the treatment is as short as 5 minutes? Would I be able to do a group treament for say 10 people at 5 minutes each or is this too taxing for the Reikist? Or is it possible to do a 45 minute Reiki treatment with a Kundalini treatment at the end? Or is it unwise to work with 2 different energies at the same time?
I haven't been attuned to any healing modality other than usui Reiki- so it is rather new to me- I have seen other threads on the subject, but I always assumed it was a similar length of treatment to usui Reiki.
Thank you for explaining to me - I did read it right after all!

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
I have never heard of kundalini reiki and have to admit to feeling a little disquiet at this apparently casual treatment of what is a very powerful and sometimes unpredictable energy. Are you trained to raise kundalini? Do your clients know what they may be letting themselves in for if kundalini rises? IMHO kundalini is to be treated with the utmost respect.

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi,
Kundalini healing is not casual treatment of the kundalini energy, in fact it is a wonderful aspect of the universal life force energy and is a wonderful healer.
To be attuned to this is a wonderful experience, a real life changer and is not harmful whatsoever and the approach to this to be honest is different I feel to the meditiation side of things.
Attunement to this energy is safe and usually those who have had trouble with kundalini rising as a result of other methods when unready etc are helped with this attunement.
In my opinion it is fine to use this form of reiki in conjunction with others, ie usui reiki, I do this..in fact usually the reiki or whatever form of it guides me during a treatment, i will notice it switch sometimes before i have even considered asking it to.
The other thing is that when giving kundalini reiki you will clearly feel it begin and stop...it will do as it needs to..also because you feel it stop flowing from your hands..it doesn't mean that it has stopped working on your client..it will continue to heal afterwards.
During a treatment I may use another form, ie usui reiki to begin with..seems to often work this way, then the kundalini may kick in and it will do as it needs to..then i may continue giving gentle reiki and complete a full treatment in a relaxing way..if that makes sense.
Giving this form of reiki to a client doesn't cause their kundalini to rise, it provides them with a beautiful healing.
The attunement causes this to happen and this is because we have been connected with the earth's energies and the chakras connected this way.
I must say it is a great experience and the best thing i ever did, I would also like to say that the founder of it...Ole Gabrielson is one of the good people and I am grateful to him for sharing this with me and for his support and help.

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Thank you, Hal, for explaining this to me. It does indeed sound very useful and not at all alarming. In fact, if I lived nearer to you, I would be tempted to ask you for a treatment. I fear youre quite a way from Harrow, though, and I don't have a car.

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Dear Sunanda,
Distance is no object at all..I can send your treatment to you wherever you are...if you would like I shall send you some distance healing of kundalini reiki.
perhaps let me know what time you would like to have some and i will send it. All you will need to do is sit or lie down comfrtably and accept the healing and it will come to you. I suggest to drink plenty of water before and after and leave about 20mins.
The kundalini will probably take me about five mins but will possibly make you wish to chill out for a good half am hour while it does it's job.
The perceptions arising from a kundalini treatment vary from person to person, but it is usual to feel it quite intensely..but it is never uncomfortable...it may be quite profound. Also you may feel a lot of heat..prehaps in certain areas of the body where it is needed.
Some people find it gives their confidence and mind set a real boost...a lot of people find it really boosts their energy levels and they simply feel good...during, after and for plenty of time afterwards.
I find kundalini very useful, it is also extremely good for physical pain relief..all reiki is I know..but I has discovered since my attunement that this is what I want when self healing and have pain.
For example, a horse smashed me on the road a while back and my shoulder was agony...it was so helpful. Also in damp weather I have bad painful joints...so much that I cannpt get comfy in bed..however I lie it hurts to lie on my bones.
the kundalini self healing has been bettre than pain killers for me.
Sorry to ramble on..but I cannot say enough about this.
let me know and i will send to you,
hal
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Aren't clients a bit dissappointed at the very short duration of their treatment? How much does one charge for 5 minutes of K reiki?
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi Azalia,
When I offer healing treatments I may describe it as reiki, but during the course of a treatment i may use different aspects of it, a treatment will usually take an hour. Sometimes half an hour if they want a short one.
These treatments cost around 15-20.00
Where the kundalini is involved, i suually start with usui reiki, the kundalini kicks in when i ask it to or when it decides.
The kundalini energy usually stopped after 5-10 minutes. i usually then continue with something else again. Either way it usually works out that the clinet is lying down for as long as they need to and when they get up and leave they feel good.
When someone needs and wants an hours reiki treatment, that is what they will have, that is what the universal life force energy will give them..they will therefore enjoy the time in it's entirety.
However, five minutes is usually all the kundalini takes to flow through me to the person..it doesn't stop working after that..it also doesn't mean that the preson will not enjoy some further energy healing after that point.
Even if that further energy work is simply providing relaxation and assisting the kundalini...whatever it is it's still for good for the client.
I have had no cpmplaints or disappointed clients, in fact i have many who have experienced the kundalini healing and notice it, ask about it and request it again. When it has alleviated severe pain or helped them in a way they notice they appreciate it, however long it took.
If someone said to me though that they just wanted five minutes kundalini I would be unlikely to charge them..I often don't and they often buy me a drink!!
I often would suggest that such a person recieve it distantly for nothing anyway...and no one is disappointed...it is a wonderful exprience.

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me Hal...I think I understand the process a bit more now:D
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
hi hal or paul,
paul said that when a person is full, they are full... after 5 mins of kundalini... so if they are full after 5 mins and can take no more, does that mean just no more kundalini but usui is ok?
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Kundalini Reiki has many parts to it so you start by filling them up with the energy which is the same with most energy work but you have choices with the full modality of what type of energy you use and you can also make use the ethereal crystals.
Kundalini Reiki was made simple to learn, teach and use, it is idiot proof so you just place your hands anywhere and think Kundalini Reiki and off it goes, when the energy stops flowing your job is in effect complete and then the energies take over and start the healing process.
I don't think this one was designed to be used as a therapy, mind you I don't think most energy work is in reality a therapy and should not be thought of and used as such, you can give an energy session anywhere without any special equipment or expensive clinics, clothing etc. it is something that comes naturally from within and should IMO be used as such 🙂
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi Rosie,
Well, I usually find I seem to begin a treatment with reiki..ie usui reiki, I then ask or the Kundalini kicks in when it wants to..it stops..my hands continue to give energy healing for a full treatment if that if what the client wants.
after all, if a client feels they need to lie down on a couch and spend the time having energy healing for an hour..that is what they need..the universal life force energy will give to them as they need.
The kundalini aspect will probably only do about 5-10 minutes..ie that will be the time taken to channel it to them through me and my hands...it will then heal on it's own within and around them.
I will during a long treatment continue to work appropriately.
I agree about what paul says on the simplicity of this and the lack of need to promotoe it as a therapy within a clinic..it is just one of those things we give,
Hal

I am not sure what you mean, Paul. What do you mean by therapy? Are you saying it is wrong to use Kundalini Reiki as a treatment for someone who is in need or wrong to advertise it as a seperate therapy- or that it is wrong to use it as part of a clinical atmosphere? Do you mean it is ok to use it as part of a therapy but it is not a therapy in it's own right?
Would you be able to explain this for me? - I appreciate your views on the subject 😀

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi,
I think i can understand what he means, this is more about spiritual developement and healing but is not taught as a specific therapy for which one charges money and does a particular session..ie an hour of kundalini.
There is little said about this aspect of it in the training that i can think of or regulations in how it should be given to others..excpet encouragement to share it.
I cannot imagine ever putting an advert where I say, kundalini reiki treatment, imara reiki, usui etc..
I just ofer reiki and energy treatments..the kundalini pops up where needed or requested, it is part of what i do.
But yes, it feels like one of those things that was not especially intended for the confines of a clinic or a specific type of treatment.
However, if you are attuned to kundalini then you may use it hwen and wherever you feel is appropriate, that will surely be the right thing to do,
Hal

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi Sig
Energy work is the sort of thing you can do down the local pub, sat in the park, on a bus or a plain etc, it is a natural part of everyone's existence and a lot of peoples consciousness.
If I where to describe energy work to anyone then it would be as a spiritual practice, a way of being and developing spiritually but since it comes from within then it is not a religion for religions look outward for inspiration and guidance etc, so does that make it a therapy?
Would you consider yourself receiving therapy if the local priest etc laid hands on you for healing or a prayer group added your name to their prayer list as these are classed as spiritual practices but are more in line with energy work than say massage, acupuncture, homeopathy etc. where you learn treatments to treat certain dysfunctions.
IMO to make a spiritual practice fit the remit of a therapy it will no longer flow as a spiritual practice, but will become a routine that is set for each person without the insight and intuition that an energy session both requires and relies on.
Unfortunately we have not got a very good vocabulary when it come to energy work, so we tend to call energy working sessions, energy treatments so they are more acceptable to the mass public, and energy workers tend to look at themselves a therapists instead of energy workers whose main function is IMO to help people find their own true paths and inner enlightenment so they in turn can fulfil their life journey, I will get off my soap box now 🙂
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Thank you Paul, I understand what you mean now. I am due to receive some kundalini reiki attunements at the end of this month. This thread has given me a good basis on how I should apply it. Although I practice Reflexology and massage, I do enjoy energy work more because I think it helps me spiritually too. Of course most of my clients experience Reiki through other treatments like massage - and of course I wouldn't dream of charging them for that, it's just part of the experience, I s'pose it's the same with Kundalini Reiki too. It is nice to incorporate energy work into our eveyday lives with people - I think I shall do more of that.:D

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Having read this thread, I thought I would try to call up Kundalini during a Reiki session today (just to see what would happen). My feet tingled, I got a "fresh" feeling through my limbs and spine, and I must have grown an inch. It lasted for all of 90 seconds and then went again. My client noticed the difference. She's very sensitive. We then went on to experience a fantastic session with my "normal" Reiki and crystals. Does this sound like Kundalini or could it have been something else? I do intend to take an atteunement........

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Sharon,
I think if your intention is strong enough then you can open your frequencies of energy up to those that you do not normally channel but, perhaps, keeping that frequency channel open required continued focus and effort on your own part. I believe that having an attunement to a particular modality helps to open that channel on a more permanent basis and allows you to be able to use that frequency more easily.
So in my opinion, yes you were chanelling Kundalini.
😉

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Thanks Giles - I tried it again this morning for my husband - he's got a pain in his buttock (that' probably me 😀 ) - and I felt it again, but again it didn't last long, although I tried to bring it back.
Sharon.
PS Good luck next week!
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi Sharon
You have to have your base chakra opened and the kundalini part of your energy matrix energised to channel it properly.
if you use your intention to open yourself to up to use kundalini energy, you might possibly get a few problems not associated with the kundalini reiki energies who ensure you have a safe opening to this form of energy!
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Ok Paul, thanks. I won't do it again until I get an attunement.

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
I'm pleased you said this, Sharon, since I was about to post an endorsement to Paul's words of caution ... and now I don't need to, not to you anyway, other than to confirm that kundalini energy in itself should not be played with by the unwary, however good their intent. So although this is addressed to you, it's really written for anyone else who may be reading and wondering whether to try it for themselves without an attunement.
Laura.
RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Thanks Laura - just to say though that I've felt nothing but energised and good since Wednesday when I did it, and all healing and even EFT sessions have been super-charged and effective.
like Siggy, I've just signed up for the remote attunement (I thought I'd better get this sorted fast). The attunement is free.

Frequently Asked Questions
I've heard a lot of disturbing tales involving "Kundalini Awakenings", with people going crazy and living in pain. Could your attunements facilitate such a thing?
Again, No. "Premature" raising of the Kundalini can be a painful and disturbing thing. When neither the physical nor the spiritual body is prepared for this, and the released Kundalini energy can't flow freely, there can be complications resulting in physical, mental and emotional pain.
But Kundalini Reiki attunements do not do such a thing. They allow you to tap into that powerful energy system and use it to heal yourself and others.
If anything, they will alleviate symptoms caused by premature Kundalini Awakenings, because they clear and unblock the energy pathways, allowing this energy to flow more freely.
I think I must have been in the right state to call it up myself. That's not to say it would be a good idea for anyone else: I just don't know about that.

Paul, I think your words express perfectly my on-going reluctance to get involved in the clinic/therapy side of things. I've always been wary of a)getting into a 'routine' and b) reaching the stage where money becomes the issue - to pay rent, self, etc. Because Reiki for me has been a spiritual tool, I've never felt entirely comfortable using it purely for therapy, if that makes sense.
I love this place - I always get wee nuggets of wisdom! 😉

RE: How long for Kundalini Reiki Treatment?
Hi Sharon
Good luck with the attunement! He certainly seems to be an OK sort of a chap from what I've read on the website and the bit from FAQ you quoted. I'm glad you felt good with what you had done with it so far, but since you said:
I think I must have been in the right state to call it up myself. That's not to say it would be a good idea for anyone else: I just don't know about that.
Let me just again quote from Paul's post above:
if you use your intention to open yourself to up to use kundalini energy, you might possibly get a few problems not associated with the kundalini reiki energies who ensure you have a safe opening to this form of energy!
However, I think that very clear distinctions have been drawn in this thread between working with Kundalini Reiki after attunement to the energies, and the possible dangers inherent in raising the energy in a way unrelated to Reiki (eg yoga or meditation) and without proper supervision from a master or teacher.
and enjoy!
Laura.
