RE: Extremely hot head while giving reiki

when we give reiki to someone , they will draw through us what they need, so it sounds like the lady needed a lot of energy.

if they need a lot then a lot comes therough.

Hi Paul and welcome to HP. Congratulations on your Reiki 1 and welcome to the Reiki family.

If it's any consolation I sometimes get VERY VERY HOT when giving Reiki treatments too. As Dez says, it is probably something to do with how much energy the client is drawing through you. Don't worry. 🙂

RE: Extremely hot head while giving reiki

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the Forums.

As Poppet says, it is not unsual for extreme heat to be felt somewhere on a person's body during a Reiki treatment - either, or both of the giver and the receiver.

Also, the same result may or may not occur when treating the same person. It's just one of the wonderful variations that are Reiki.

Don't worry and just keep on treating yourself and others.

Hi reiki Paul
welcome on board, congrats on your reiki 1!!!

As Paul says, dont worry about it at all!!
Some days you'll feel absolutely freezing, others like your in a furnace!
and you know what, often your client feels the opposite to you!

Its all part and parcel of the wonderful world of reiki, just relax and dont worry,
your doing fine!!!
Hugs,DC

RE: Extremely hot head while giving reiki

Have to agree with delicate touch - i find on 99% of treatments that I give, the client feels the opposite to what I feel. If my hands feel hot to me then the client says they feel cold but in most cases the client says my hands feel like they are a furnace and to me they feel cold!!! I also get a hot head whilst giving a treatment, especially when the client is in need of a lot of energy - as the treatment is coming to an end i cool down very quickly which i take as a sign to finish the treatment. Reiki is amazing, I have had many people who disbelieve in it to start then after one treatment become addicts!!!! If only the whole world knew about Reiki.

RE: Extremely hot head while giving reiki

Hi everyone, this is the first time I have posted on the Reiki forum!

I was wondering, as you were asking about heat, whether anyone knows why sometimes when I am giving a Reiki treatment I can feel heat and at other times I feel a tingling sensation.
It tends to be (for me anyway) that I feel heat when the person I am giving Reiki to has a physical pain in the body and I feel tingling when the problem is stress or anxiety.
I wondered whether this stress was manifesting in the aura and I was picking it up from there?[sm=scratchchin.gif]
I would love to read your thoughts on this as you all seem much more experienced than me!
I did Reiki 1 in January and am planning to do Reiki 2 in July,
