When running a reiki workshop how much do people feel it's reasonable to ask for?

By workshop do you mean you are doing attunements? If I am giving someone or a group of people a whole day of my time I feel it is reasonable that I walk away with 100.00 minimum. How much each person pays depends on how many I book. Does that help?

I have just started up my Reiki business and at the beginning I had a huge influx. Now it has died off. I'm not sure where to go next as I feel I need to learn more courses to add to my list. Also when people come 3 times that kind of finishes the course for that person. I hadn't thought of this! feel a bit despondent now 🙁 Any advice would be appreciated! I have just got business cards printed but unsure of where to give them out.

It can take 2 years to get a business up and running, I have yet to meet anyone who does JUST reiki and makes a living from it. So if you can afford to study another therapy its probably a good idea.

Business cards can be left at local shops if they allow it (not all do) and any local new age shops would be a good place to start. Also local hair salons. I also managed to get cards (and leaflets) into GP's surgeries but NOT a business card that included psychic/medium readings as a service !!!

But a business card doesn't explain what reiki is - and one reason why I decided to add IHM to my skills was that I do pamper/psychic/shopping events offering tasters. I discovered people don't know what reiki is, but EVERYONE knows what massage is - it at least gave me chance to talk to people. Having some leaflets printed to explain the benefits of reiki may be a good idea . I wasted LOADS of money on having stuff printed that brought me no custom because it didn't tell people who had never heard of reiki what it could for them. My leaflets now at least get picked up and taken away out of interest.

Thank you for the reply! My business cards actually explain what it does on the back so it does have some info on there. I will do some flyers luckily I can do the design and get them printed for no cost at all. I think the next step is to get it out there a bit more. There are so many people who don't understand it and I have a Facebook page to educate but no one seems to be too interested! I am really interested in doing this but like you said I guess it always starts slow!
