Hi Everyone
& Happy New Year

I have a question (or two lol)- I got my Reiki 1 in March 04 and am now getting down to do my case studies (didn't feel comfortable before now).
Is there a standard format of questions I should ask the people who are volunteering as case studies?
and the next thing is there a standard format of for a case study? - what sort of information do I need to record?
Help or am I making this more complicated then it needs to be?

Thanks
Lynn :):):)

RE: case studies

Hi Lynn

Doing a case study for energy work is not quite as straight forward as other therapies but in other ways simple.

When I ask for case studies with remote attunements and teaching it is more a case of did the healer sense what was going on, did they feel guided to certain areas, did the healee feel anything which is not always relevant since a lot of people cannot sense the energies and what feedback did they receive from the healee.

There is little else which is relevant to an energy treatment but as I said you might not get any feedback at all from the healee but you should be aware of what is going on in some shape or form 🙂

RE: case studies

If your teacher is not asking for a specific format, then I woudl have three sections:
1. reason for wanting a Reiki treatment (any specific physicla/emotional complaint?)
2. anything that you or the receiver have felt during the treament (but do keep it short! No need to put details of all the tingling /heat/buzzing that was felt for each of the hand positions...)
3. how the receiver felt afterwards, or a few days later...

On the legal side, you need to keep a record of name, date of birth and address of the "client". ANd don;t forget to keep th ecase staudy confidential, that is your teacher should not see the name of the "guiny pig" (use intitials).

Thank you both - I feel much happier now with these pointers - was putting whole thing off due to a mental block. Now I am ready.
wish me luck my first two case studies are scheduled for Tuesday.
