I am just starting out on the Reflexology business side of things and at present drive quite an old Renault Clio which is reliable etc but not particularly good image wise. I am looking to buy a newer car but trying to keep things economical.

Does anyone have any tips as to a good medium sized car that they own orthat would fit all their kit for reflexology in nicely, eg lafuma, stool and so on, without eating too much into the bank balance while starting out?

(hope ive posted this in the right place)

Any ideas most welcome 😮

What about a small MPV, the ones where the seats can be moved around. The Hyundai matrix is reasonably priced and they have a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty.

I drive a Fiesta, it can fit my lafuma, couch or onsute chair in, but bear in mind that you will have to put the seats down if you're getting a smaller car (although I doubt that there are many larger cars which would fit these in their boot). I know what you mean about image, I'm thinking of getting some personalisedplates to disguise the fact that my 'new' car I got a few weeks ago is actually 8 years old!

What a good idea! My 'new' car is also 8 years old! It doesn't look it, but the number plate gives it away. But provided you keep the car looking smart and clean, I don't think that that matters. It all depends where you are working, and where you are drawing your clients from. Horses for courses and all that!

My La Fuma fits exactly into the boot of my Ford Focus, but not in it's carry bag. However, I don't think that that is a bad thing. Carrying it in the bag was doing my back in.

I'm hoping that the number plate solution is a good one, you can pick them up for £300 fitted.. and it's your plate forever, you can move it from one car to another for about £100. If you pick your car model well the age wont be a huge issue. It's a tough one, choosing transport, but you have to consider petrol costs, comfort, image, where else you will use it, if you want to display stickers and advertising on the vehicle..

Thanks, I shall keep asking while looking as my Clio is a hatchback, so would be a case of getting used to converting it more often for this use until I buy a newer model.

Appreciate the tips as always!

😀 Hi Jojo1 I use a 3 door B reg Fiesta (1985) which is tidy and I can fit in my portable (it is big and in a bag!) couch. I tried a small holistic stool with slight back lip but it is not low enough for me as I am nearly 6ft tall. Going to use a typists gas chair because it goes lower. I am going to be purely mobile as no space at home and I work part time in a music shop anyway so this is change of direction. I used it for my client case studies during my course which I finished last week.
