Can somebody please answer this question as I am intrigued to know the answer!
I have a cluster of tiny vurrucas on my foot, they have been there for ages but havnt really bothered me that much.
I am now thinking of having a reflex session and want to get rid of them as most reflexologists wont treat me and I feel embarrased having them.
Recently I put that extra strength bazouka stuff on them, I used it a for a couple of days and was planning to continue until they had gone when I broke out in a spottyrash on my chest and and neck.
The rash is very itchy and red and flares up in heat in particular.
I am wondering if there is any connection between the verucca treatment and this rash?
Knowing a little bit about reflexology I have worked out that the verrucas are in the exact spot on my foot as the neck and chest area.
Could this just be a co incidence? or it is possible to put something on you foot ( like a strong chemical ) and find the area that relates to that on the body shows some irritation and inflamation?
I would be really grateful for your comments.
RE: Reflex and Verrucas
Hello Julie
I haven't heard of anything like this happening before and I am stumped. But I will watch out for other answers with great interest. Did you get a reaction on the skin of your foot where you applied the treatment?
RE: Reflex and Verrucas
hi Juliejazz, My reflexology tutor recommends banana skin put on the verrucas over night untill they have gone, you might want to try that. Just a surgestion.
Hi Juile,
a couple of things..... yes banana skins are great, along with Thuja ( homepathic remedy) and Tea tree.
Their position would suggest anger at not being able to get something off your chest, words stuck in your throat and feeling weighed down, not having room to breathe so to speak.
Which foot are they on, left or right?
As a reflexologist I do work on clients with verruccas, I'm just very careful with hygine!
Hope this helps!

hi, i was tought that it is still o.k to give a reflexology treatment as long as the verruca is covered up with a plaster.
would your reflexologist treat you if they are covered up?
Thanks for the replies, banana skin sounds a nice natural treatment. Might try that, which side do you apply to the skin though???
The verrucas are all on my left foot they seem to go in a diagonal line across my lungs.
The homeopathic remedy sounds interesting too, thanks Lisa! and the psychological aspect is something to think about. I have not asked anybody to treat me recently as am a bit embarrassed at having them over a year now! Only realised this when the post came up again! Gosh I must do something about these fast!
In the book the 'Idiots Guide to Reflexology' (which I think is very good incidentally!) the author suggested putting one foot in a bowl of water as hot as you can stand and the other in water as cold as you can stand. Not sure if anybody has tried that or if it actually works but also might be worth a go.
Anyway thanks for all the help. Promise to get rid of them asap! x
The fkeshy side of banana skin to verucae then cover with a plaster.

I treat customers with localised infections, but I stick a plaster over the affected area. If there is a large site of infection on a foot, then I would consider hand reflexology instead.
As for getting rid of the blighters, I have no tips! I had one as a kid and it took forever to get rid of! I am sure things have advanced since then!

Hi ya
I once went on a short aromatherapy course and the tutor considers that neat essential oils applied every day was very benefical for verrucas as a anti-viral.
She recommended first week: lemon oil; second week: lime oil; and then third week: tea tree oil. The idea was to attack the virus before it had time to mutate. The procedure can be repeated until the verrucas disappear.
I am not a aromatherapist, please check with one!
Cheers
Dave
I treated my 14 year old daughters verruca with neat tea tree oil -just 1 drop in the morning and it was gone in a week -again I am NOT a qualified aromatherapist.I am a reflexologist and have treated the foot if the verrucae was covered with a plaster.
