I use a Lafuma recliner for reflexology. I, love it and my clients love it!
Some time ago, I thought it might be good to try a D bolster to support the feet. I'd been using a pillow for the feet, but this doesn't always give good access to feet, especially with shorter clients. However, the bolster just doesn't work for me! It falls through the gap at the end of the recliner as soon as any weight is put on it! I guess this wouldn't happen if I used a recliner cover, but I just use towels and couch roll and don't want to buy expensive covers. I suppose I could put some tape or elastic round the end of the recliner, but this would look a bit botched and I shouldn't need to do this as the bolster is sold by Oxford Reflexology Supplies specifically to go with the recliner.
So back to the pillows again...
Does anyone else use a D bolster, and if so, how do you get on with it?!
Thanks
Hello
My chair came with two D bolsters, one at each end. They are attached with Velcro tape (which is on the end of two tapes in the same material as the chair itself). Maybe you could try attaching two ribbons to each bolster with Velcro tape in the middle to provide a secure closure?
Lafuma
I know someone who uses a large tray across the end where the gap is then places the pillow on that . I just use a plank of wood about the width of a floorboard or wide skirting board.

I do have the lafuma cover and the bolster is fine with it, I use a round bolster under the knees too....
Mine occasional slips through the slot too which can be quite annoying although obviously not too annoying as I haven't done anything about rectifying it yet . My D bolster has an elastic strap to secure it - I like the velcro idea - I might have to add a bit of velcro to the strap to see if it will hold in place and not spin round.
