Hi

I have had a request from a family friend to do reflexology for their mum at some point, however I wanted to get some advice first.

The client had a hip operation last December and I am not sure on the length of time we are supposed to wait until doing a treatment - do we have to wait 12 months or something or do we just avoid this section of the foot??

I have also since found out that this particular client suffered a heart attack many years ago, now would this make treatment a complete no go? Is it something that we would have to have medical permission for?

Its always good to get someone else's opinion on things like this, especially as I am just setting up as a mobile therapist.

Thanks
Sass

RE: Contra Indications

Hi Sass,

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with either of these. So long as your client's fully recovered from her op ~ no problem. And as for the heart attack ~ if it was years ago and she's presently not under the care of a consultant ~ go ahead !!!
