Hi to everyone,
I'm starting out as a mobile therapist + just wondered if anyone could recommend a good portable reflexology/manicure stool.
Thanks
Tutseas.

hey there.

i use a stool from darley couches, its a stool where i sit on one end and the client puts there feet on the other, both 'stool' bits are hight adjustable so can move the client up or down or you up or down. i found this better as then i only have to carry one thing instead of a stool for them and then a stool for me! comes in a nice carry bag.

hope you find what your looking for.

also tutseas, you say you are just starting out and i was wondering, do you work at the moment? as im trying to take the leap from full time work in to working part time and complementary theapies. did you do this? how have you found working in reflex?

Hi Tutseas,

I use a Lafuma recliner or a portaped for clients and a small therapists stool from Beautelle for myself. I think it's important to have a stool with wheels on for myself; it's a lot bulkier to carry than a folding stool but I move around alot during a reflexology treatment. I use the portaped for clients who either don't have enough space in their homes for the Lafuma or for clients who don't want to be tipped back or who are too heavy.

Here's a link to the therapists stool I use [DLMURL] http://www.beautelle.co.uk/water/reflexology.htm#600 [/DLMURL]

Love and light

Sulis xx

i got the folding stool from la fuma when i got the recliner. for me, its the right height and all packs away together nicely in the bag, which i also got.

i wiggle about abit too, and i find the stool is fine for that.

Hi To everyone,
Thanks for the information.
I think it's best to buy something that's been tried, tested and recommended.

Hi PeriWinkle.
Yeah I'm still working at the moment, but I'm getting my redundancy the end of June. So it's given me the push that I needed to go for it!!!
At the moment I'm treating very few clients, but I'm concentrating on getting my brochures and business cards ready to distribute.
However the Reiki treatments are very popular in my place of work!!
I have lots of changes going on at the mo. It's quite exciting, but also very scarey!!!
Take care
LOL
