Hi
Im currently studing reflexology. I am practicing on a friend who has a very sluggish liver. As i expected, her liver and gallblader reflexes were tender what I didnt expect was a cluster of small shiny wart things on her foot. The thing look like they are filled with fluid, they are slightly raised and mildly tender. What are these things?! Smaller than a varrucae (sp) it doesnt have the dot, not big enough to be warts. She says they come and go but only in her right foot!
Advice appreciated!

RE: Blister wart things
Just a quick guess......but they sound like shingles???
RE: Blister wart things
Hmmmm, intriguing. I know corns can grow in clusters as can verrucae. Athlete's foot can appear as blisters but the ones I've seen have been really tiny. Maybe she needs to visit a podiatrist. You wouldn't want to spread infection or get infected yourself, as a verruca (if that's what they are) on the thumb would be a real pain.
RE: Blister wart things
a friend of mine has been suffering with rosette verrucas for about 2 years (lol since just before being my model for the practical exam!... plasters galore!). these are caused by stress, according to the chiropodist. she tried lemon, tea tree etc etc and just recently has been dowing echinacea and voila, they have all gone! coincidence...? i dont think so!
so yippee, i can now get down to treating her stress... lol mind you, i did do reiki on her 6 weeks ago... maybe, just maybe.... <g>
however, i dont remember these looking like water blisters... dry rosette looking things.
RE: Blister wart things
I have a client that suffers with blisters under her feet that sound similar. She saw a chirpodist once that used a type of air gun on them and they cleared up for months. Now have come back though. She didn't get a diagnosis at the time but is about to go back to the same chirpodist to have them treated and find out what it was. Will let you know when I find out!

RE: Blister wart things
Thanks everyone
Hmmm i think at one could be right asshe does have atheletes foot inbetween the in the on and around the toe nech of the big toe. I doubt that it is a blster because its spread to a part of her foot that isnt exposed to much friction.
There are about 5 thingies in an arch formation....they mirror the arch of the foot.....the arch makes a semi circle then the clusters things make another, so it looks like 2 semi cirles back to back (a bit like the chanel logo). Looking at my reflexology chart, the blisters are situated in the liver ang gallbladder area. This would make sence as my friend is having liver problems (see thread in natural remidies board "fatty liver")
It terms of reflexology, how can i best help her detox and strengthen her liver, should i massage the thingies (dont worry, im using gloves!) or should i avoid them when stimulating the liver area
Thanks

Uoooh gloves ! I understand that many peeps are told to use gloves or not treat - but there is no way i could touch a person through gloves let alone treat , feel & sensitise my treatment accordingly via gloves
( actually thats not true I dont know - as i have never tried ) anyway I thought it sounded like the beginning cluster of athletes foot , did she say it was itchy ? But its an unusual place to get athletes foot, mostly peeps get it inbewtween their toes. . . then i htought if t were circular could it be ringworm 0- but thn its red not shiny watery blisters - anyway whatevr it is it does seem to grow/ targeting upon a weakend area - perhaps you could crossrefles treat hand to treat the liver reflex. Also you could work around the area & use the corresponding energy field around liver to treat as opposed to touching.
You cant really detox her - she has to do this by herself - you can suggest she alters her nutrtional intake - more natural produce, beetroot no sugar toxins etc - then you can zap up her immunity & stregthen all systemsthen finish using lymph drainage ect.
Enjoy - its all wonderful experiences.Plus mayb ask her if anyhting can be contributing to the liver imbalance liverly yellowly cowardly
ie drained. .. opposite extreme anger, power - not neccesarrily her but even directed at her unresolved etc. Somewtime lifestyle has to be acknowledged & change introduced before whole systems can be balanced via reflexology.
I have rambled sorry . . . hope some of this may be of interest if not - dump ! Happy Discoveries.

Sounds like Athlete's Foot to me, too.
Gloves, plasters or perhaps sanitising them and your hands with Tea Tree Oil - or a combination of all three just to be sure.
Many years ago my brother had an attack of a form of Athlete's Foot where the whole of the sole of his foot was covered with wart-like eruptions (just like verrucae but everywhere in a rash distribution). The doctor gave him a lotion to use and soon they were all gone.
