Natural rice

I wonder if you can help me find a way to cook this rice? I remember eating the macrobiotic rice in the 70 ties and it tasted wonderful (what is this rice called). The rice i have now, well i soak it and then it takes forever to cook. So what i do is fry it in soya oil and then i add water and cook it. Is that the way to do it? Please advise....
