This is just a question as I am curious as to why it happens. When ever I eat apples, especially green one and other certain food like chocolate I break out into a sweat at the back of my neck. What would the cause of this be? Is it an allergy or a issue with the autonomic nervous system?

I did have unusual sweat reaction many years ago and I would sweat execssively even in mild or cold weather but I since a had a very successful operation to correct this. Is there a connection?

I know two other people this happens to but with different foods. One with cheese and eggs and it makes their cheeks sweat and I can't remember what the food was for the other person unfortunately but they got sweaty on the side of their neck. I don't know why it happens but I would think it was some kind of intolerance to the food in question. Not sure why it would happen. Might be worth getting checked for intolerances.

I had a similar operation and a listed side effect was sweating when eating. My face and forearms will sweat when I eat certain sharp tasting foods, like lemons, apples or spices.

Some people can be intolerent to raw apples, especially green apples. I get stomach cramps if I eat green apples.

It might be a way of your body telling you that you shouldn't eat that food, makes sense for me since I get stomach cramps with green apples and they make me sweat
when I eat them.
