Whilst on holiday recently I met a woman who read angel cards and gave me her rose quartz, saying it had done its work for her. She also gave me a Tigers eye.
I decided to look up what these stones are all about last night and was astounded to read that the rose quartz can bring out sensitivity in you. Just a bit - talk about being over sensitive just lately. What is happening to me?
Anyway, I read somewhere (but can't find it now) that if you are told there are better quality stones out there to walk away. So I am now wondering if the bigger the stone the more powerful it is or will any stone do so long as it is what they say it is?
Also this week I have had nothing but trouble from various people/businesses, i.e. BT grrrr[sm=banghead.gif], had to complain about a nail treatment, sacked the window cleaner for refusing to clean off the fly dirt (like what else was there to clean[&:]) and a couple of nasty emails from somebody. I was told the Tigers eye can protect so I brought it to my computer.
Today BT gave me 3 months free broadband and lowered my broadband monthly fee by £3 per month (BTW avoid BT Broadband Talk like the plague - just not ready for this century lol). I wonder if anything else with resolve itself now.

Hi Pathfinder

Woohoo!a book that finally lets you know the 'down side' of Rose Quartz, I say 'down side' only because this crystal is so very often recommended for people with depression etc; and it's not always the best crystal to have as it will often bring up feelings that 'you' are not ready to cope with, then 'you' end up in floods of tears feeling worse!
As for size, no the size of a crystal makes no difference whatsoever to it's energies, however there are different grades of crystals and I personally prefer to pay just that little bit more for a better grade of crystal.
Many blessings

RE: Does size matter
So how do I know it is the right one for me? Did this woman see a need in me? How does one grade stones????
Also just have to report that today I got a phone call from the 'nail bodge job'. The owner of the shop was absolutely furious that I had experienced this and is sending me a full refund.:D Is this the Tigers eye by my computer protecting me. First BT then the beauty shop.
RE: Does size matter
Crystals are graded according to their colour, lustre and formation. It ranges from Gem Grade (very good) to C/D grade (very bad).
So how do I know it is the right one for me?
If you hold it and get a good sensation from it then go with it. If there is something telling you not to use it then maybe it is not time to work with the crystal. Rose Quartz has a very strong energy that the holder must be ready for. Perhaps you are just looking after the crystal to pass on as necessary.
Tigers Eye is also good at keeping people calm in a situation so with that and the protection qualities it sounds as though it is helping you well.
RE: Does size matter
Are they supposed to be passed on then? I don't feel like I will ever want to part with my rose quartz because it was given to me out of love and is my first ever. Then again I am a sucker for seeing somebody in need and have parted with many a guardian angel.[&:]
RE: Does size matter
Sometimes we are only keepers for the crystals, ready to pass them on when they are needed. You don't have to if you don't want to though and if the crystal is special to you then you should keep hold of it.
