Hi Crystal experts,
Could you recommend some crystals that I could use to protect me from absorbing a clients negative energy?

Hello SarahLouise.

The best place really is to visit your nearest newage type/crystal shop. Theres nothing like seing and touching before you buy. I am lucky I have a couple of good shops near me, and I am like a child when i visit, touching this and that.

If there are none near you, then you can find plenty of suppliers on the internet, they do usually show a picture but may not necessarily send you that particular one.

Are there any Mind Body spirit events coming near you soon? There are usually stalls in them. Having said that, I want to a very large event in Yorkshire and there were several traders selling. However, one in particular had a mass of allsorts on display, and really didnt know anything about them. It was purely a commercial venture. I didnt buy there. I like to chat with a seller who provides a service with heart and conscience. Thats my personal viewpoint anyway 🙂

Hiyas,

Can I add Black Tourmaline to the equation please and also Hematite and Boji stones one in each pocket 🙂

Have a look for a Rock n Gem show near you, they are fantastic for getting every crystal and stone together in one place 🙂

Hi SarahLouise

Generally speaking, dark stones and deep red are good for grounding and protection (ie; stones associated with the base chakra) - I tend to use black tourmaline, smokey quartz, heamatite, boji stones, chiastolite, carnelian (the darker ones) and garnet but if you go into a crystal shop with the intention of buying stones to keep you grounded you should find you are drawn to whatever will work best for you.

Also, have you thought about doing a visualisation before doing a treatment as this is also an excelent way to ground and protect? I'm sure you will find some on the net if you google it. A common one is to imagine you are a tree and feel your roots growing down into the Earth. You could also try sitting quietly, relaxing and when ready think of the word protection and see what you get and you can then use this as a form of protection by activating (just thinking of the protection going up will work) before a treatment - it can be quite suprising what you get to use.

I would agree with Black Tourmaline and Smokey Quartz.

However you can also put yourself in a protective white bubble and tie it up with a ribbon in any colour of your choice.

I generally put myself in one bubble, then the client in another then place the two bubbles within another larger bubble. The two bubbles will protect you both from absorbing each other's energies but also allows you to connect with them to allow any healing to transfer. I like to think of it as the same way as a baby is within it's mothers womb. The baby gets all the mothers nutrients to enable it to grow but their blood or bodily fluids never mix.

Remember to pop the large bubble before letting your client go.

Blessings

Ground yourself before you start your massage, and as mentioned above keep yourself "bubbled up" and protected as you work.

have you actually considered massaging your client with a crystal too? I often do a massage using palm stones in hematite when a client is very negative as it helps to absorb and remove their negativity from them - warm them first though in your own hands before touching your client so they arent cold! Obviously use stones not affected by water or salt if doing a crystal massage 🙂
