Hi All,

I have to have all 25 off my case studies for Beauty therapy ready in the next few weeks.

I cant help but feel its all so fake, our teacher just told us to make sure we use people with different skin e.g oily, dry mature..even if we dont have clients with those skin types. When I explained I didnt have clients with those type of skins, she just said make it up which is grand but I feel as If i am repeating myself the whole way through the case study. Just a load of copying and pasting.. Is anyone else feeling the same?

We have to do our case studies in a particular format. Do you?

Thanks

Sx

I don't know anything about Beauty Therapy, but I would say it's almost, if not completely, fraudulent to make up case studies in order to gain qualifications. Any case studies I have done for my therapies have been based on real people with real conditions. If you can't find people to meet certain criteria then you can't find them, you shouldn't make it up and your teacher should not be telling you to do that either.

Completely wrong IMHO.

some teachers does that I am afraid! on two courses i was told to make up stuff and on another bluff it out! thats partly why I failed the latter as didnt feel comfortable and nervous but the year after later i passed with more studying that was worthwhile. teachers can b lazy and cant be bothered to support so therfore say oh make up stuff but thats wrong really.shows the teachers is not committed to her/his job:mad:

Don't make it up - if you want to embellish the information in your studies, read a book, reference it, research and deepening your understanding of the subject will help you far more. With a beauty therapy you wont get the ame range of issues as you might if studying something like reflexology, the scope merely isn't the same. If you are there to learn, and I get the impression that you are, read and investigate things, you will become a much better therapist for it.
