But if we take it, for example, that aliens encountered are in the same plane as us and therefore we can see them in a normal RL way, for the sake of arguement...the reason they would not use fossil fuels, radio etc is because they would be in a more advanced state of being both technologically and, perhaps, spiritually.
Imagine we get to the stage where we can roam around the galaxy, dipping down to other planets to have a butchers at what life it happening there. We wouldn't be able to do that if we still used fossil fuels. We would have to have developed some better mode of transportation for those vast distances. And one would hope that the radio would no longer be our 'primitive' mode of communication - perhaps we may have developed telepathy by the time we go into space to that degree.
Maybe technology and spiritual development go hand in hand in some way - but that's not for this thread [8D]
I like the thought about different lifeforms living side by side with us here...although its kinda spooky to think about it 😀

Well, this is it. Our present day space probes don't use fossil fules to travel around the galaxies - they use the trajectory of passing planets to 'bounce' their way around the place.
It's a good use of energy, and if aliens are visiting us, they may well be using planetary forces to propel their spaceships - or may use 'wormholes' to travel from place to place. I am quite certain that there is a logical explanation to alien sightings - not everyone can be mistaken - but what are they, and what science is being used? David brings up an excellent point about planes and sub-planes, which may explain the 'wormhole' way of travelling. Quantum physics in action! 😀

I actually agree that it can be scientific to talk about these things. Witness my favourite subject of Occult Chemistry for instance. That research was caried out very scientifically for the day. I had oother people and "hard scientists" in mind. Roger and I have also often quoted the amazing example of Vedic science.

Well this is where it DOES get esoteric. Theosophy would have in mind, as existing on other sub-planes, such things as astral shells, people OOB as they sleep and other discarnates, angels, sylphs, salamanders, undines, thought-forms ... not necessarily spooky, but not accepted by hard science either.

Yes, science and the paranormal (so-called) really do go hand-in-hand. There has to be a scientific reason for everything, and if there isn't, it is science that must change...but almost all occurences have a natural explanation. It is finding that explanation, which makes a good scientist.

Summing up all the available data from visual and radar sightings, it appears that UFOs work in a quite different way to anything we're used to. Direction-change and acceleration can be huge and instantaneous, so momentum isn't affecting the beings in the craft. They also seem able to appear and disappear: it's possible indeed that space or distance is simply no barrier to them and that travel is instantaneous.
The lack of radio waves from others in the universe may indicate that we are in a relatively very short stage civilisations go through from being undeveloped to being something more advanced with different technology altogether.
