Hi peeps
I can't imagine they use the planet slingshot method, as this would still take an incredible length of time to travel thru space. There have been reports that they use some form of magnetic propulsion that utilises the planets magnetic forces, which in turn allow them 90 degree movements and incredibly fast speeds. Not sure how that would work in space tho [:-]
But then again...its all hearsay - unless Venetian has some hard evidence somewhere in his archives? 😉

Even if alien spacecraft used some sort of 'magnetic field' in order to propel themselves through space, it'd still take an incredibly long time to get anywhere. They may have a highly developed intelligence these aliens, but they cannot move planets and stars closer together in order to make their journeys easier.
How do they stay alive during these epic journeys? What are their natural lifespans? Do they go into some sort of suspended animation and wake up when they get close to a planet?

Agreed, but I meant to say this is how they possibly manouver on planets. Most sightings are for relatively small craft (obviously the occupants could only be 3" in height 😀 ) so therefore there may be a mothership waiting above earth which uses some other form of propulsion. Again, only a theory - don't call me a wack!

...and another thing.....
How come these aliens are seemingly unaffected by our atmosphere? Why doesn't our atmosphere choke them, or squash their spaceships? How come they can survive on our planet and breathe oxygen, etc?

The questions are indeed endless. And I feel we could theorise about this for weeks on end!
Maybe they only bother visiting planets of a similar makeup to their own? Maybe they have a wider range of tolerances that enable them to live in widely differing places. One was supposed to have been captured by the American military years ago and lived for 3 odd years but then died. They tried to communicate with it but unsuccessfully.
There aren't actually that many sightings of the third kind ie. meeting aliens as oppossed to just seeing their ships. At a guess I would say 95% of sightings are of ufos in the sky. So most of them probably can't actually breath on our planet unaided.
I'm sure if they have the technology to roam space at will then they can scan the planets first to see if it is made up of elements that will kill them, or indeed if its suitable for their ships to fly through.
