RE: UFOS

ORIGINAL: caveman

Hi peeps

I can't imagine they use the planet slingshot method, as this would still take an incredible length of time to travel thru space. <snip> But then again...its all hearsay - unless Venetian has some hard evidence somewhere in his archives? 😉

I sure have no hard answers, but I must re-read the Vedas on all this.

The slingshot is like trying to make fire by rubbing a stick - no way UFOs are doing that. They come and go, appear and are gone. It's utterly and quite different. Once as a kid I tried to rationalise UFOs (after I saw one) in hard-science terms. It didn't work. "Passport To Magonia" by Jacques Vallee, and the writing of John Keel started to come out in the 60s. I couldn't take to it at first and was almost offended. It seemed so not-hard-science, so wooly.

But now I realise, IMO, there's something going on here nothing to do with technology as we know and use it. Read Vallee and Keel.

All the same, I don't find these beings to be in the least bit "spiritual". It's what we have as potential and they seem not to have IMO. In the most important sense they are very inferior to us. I have no warm feelings about them whatsoever.

RE: UFOS

Hello David,

Hmmm. I think that if these UFOs (which I assume to be some sort of alien craft, as opposed to unidentified earthly aircraft) are behaving in this strange way, then there must be a natural explanation for it. Extraterrestrial life, the paranormal and so on, must obey natural laws. What those laws are, I do not know, but a scientific explanation must exist somewhere. Maybe they are using wormholes, or something like magnetic force, by which to travel; perhaps a 'vortex' of some description is being utilised so that they can appear and disappear, but all these things must have a rational explanation. I cannot believe that they would operate outside the scope of natural laws.

Incidentally, my friend and I witnessed a UFO in Nova Scotia in 1981, which simply disappeared from the sky. Most strange.

Love,
Patsy.

Hi Patsy, perhaps the claoking device seen in Star Trek is not so silly after all. If our scientists are not far from developing it [link= http://edition.cnn.com/2006/TECH/science/08/09/feature.invisibility/ ]see here[/link] then they probably have it down to a tee 😀

RE: UFOS

Hi caveman,

It could well be a 'cloaking device', I don't know. Whatever the truth of the matter, it is fascinating and extraordinary.

You know caveman (and David, too) although I believe that all extraordinary events turn out to have ordinary explanations, I truly hope that we don't find explanations for every mystery. I'd like to leave something to the imagination!

Love,
Patsy.
