RE: I Can Do Science, Me!
I think most things on TV these days are digitally enhanced or computerised images..not sure about ice cream though.
RE: I Can Do Science, Me!
I don't know how scientific this is, but I once heard that if an actor is required to wear a leather jacket on TV, the jacket has to be roughed up with sandpaper or it looks like shiny PVC!
In answer to Patsy's question:
Why is it that when people are lost in cars, they turn down the sound of the car radios?
If I need to stop and look at a map, or am driving slowly while searching for a street or house, I always turn the sound (music, on tape, usually) right OFF, simply because it becomes a distraction rather than pleasant background, and I'm needing to focus my attention of getting to where I need to be. That may not be too scientific either, but seems logical to me.
Laura.

Hi Giles,
Yes, natural science counts.
More gems from Patsy's collection:
Before the Jurassic period, the world spun west-east on it's axis, so that the Sun rose in the western sky.
The River Nile flows backwards.

Killer Whales (Orcas) kill sharks by torpedoing up into the shark's stomach from underneath, causing the shark to explode. They have even been known to attack the Great White shark.
Killer Whales are actually a type of dolphin, not whale.
