I subscribe to the weekly Christian Science Monitor magazine (it's a daily online newspaper, not a religious periodical) They have an excellent section on the environment .
The postman has just brought this week's magazine and it's all about the hypocrisy of carbon offsets, but what really inspired me was this story about an ordinary American grandmother and farmer who has made such a difference by exposing CFAOs (concentrated animal-feeding operations)
I know that there are plans in the UK to have thousands of cows in metal barns who will never see sunlight or graze on pastures. Having read this article, I feel more strongly than ever how wrong this is!
