RE: Your path.........
Hi Moonfeather
Thankyou for sharing your story with me.
You said
Bottom line, he is very down to earth and keeps me anchored and has also given me space and money (!) to pursue my work, which I am very grateful for. I have finally accepted that he has to walk his own path and as long as he is walking alongside me, then I have no right to demand that he change spiritually. (changing emotionally is another matter, lol!)
No demands on my husband to change spiritually either;) he has his beliefs & I have mine.
Hmmm, changing emotionally, now there's a nice thought, but something tells me only time will tell;);)

One thing I learned was this - you can't change or control your partner's growth - but you can change yours, and you can change the energy. As the energy is altered, then your perceptions and reactions alter with it and so do those of the people around you. That's why you lose some friends, gain others... and eventually gain a new strength of purpose and confidence.
Perfectly put:D:D Thankyou.
Many thanks again for taking the time to respond it was very much appreciated

RE: Your path.........
When I started to read this thread I didn't think I'd have anything to add, but.....
After reading Tracey's (Tapintohealth) message it made me think about my journey/path.
My husband & I too come from East London (not that it has much to do with it) but I find it very difficult for most of my friends to understand all my 'wacky' stuff 😉 growing up I didn't tell many of them that I had crystals, believed in fairies etc.
My husband is very very supportive of what I am doing and what I believe in and is trying to understand as much as he can... it's hard because since we first met 7 years ago (I was 21 he was 22) I have changed sooooooooooo much and we started to get to a place where we had nothing in common and it scared me. I thought 'Do I still love this man, he just isn't going where I want to go'..... but we sat and spoke and I told him some stuff I never thought I would say (we do tell each other nearly everything anyway) and I told him how I felt, he didn't want to lose me and is trying to change.
He is a DJ, into drinking and other stuff and I'm not and I find it very difficult but we are still on our 'married' journey and am learning more and more about each other and about life as we go on.
Sorry if it hasn't helped at all but felt good to write it down here... 😀
