RE: Your path.........

Thankyou for your response:D:D
aj

my husband is a very (as he'd say) down to earth type....if you can't see it or touch it then it's not real...although he's shared one quite unexplianable expereince with me he'd sooner try & think of a logical explination.

Sounds like my husband;)
aj

It took me quite a long time to even admit to him what my believes were...I even used to hide my books in the bathroom & read them in the bath!!

I don't have this problem with my husband (quite the opposite really):D

aj

He knows why I've found a spiritual path....like you I aslo had post natal depression with me 2nd baby (also like you I didn't want to take pills either but as soon as I started to admit how I felt...espically to my health visitor who was brilliant..I started to feel better. The whole storey that re-woke me to the fact that theres something more then what we see is (to me anyway) truely amazing & one day I'll get around to shareing it.

My feelings were expressed initially to my health visitor, she was an absolute diamond, & supported me 100%.
I'd like to hear your story to one day:D:D

It sounds to me that your just learning to love yourself more. You say you love your husband so I don't see any harm in you telling him about the things that he does that upset you...because if he doesn't know they upset you then he's got no idea of how he's making you feel which isn't fair on him.....imagine it the other way around....if it was you who does or say's something in a certain way
that was upsetting him but he was trying to cover it up so's not to cause any argument I'm sure you's prefare him just to be straight with you....people can't really change sometime unless they are helped by being told what's good & bad.

I understand where your coming from, will put it into practise (more).
aj

I know from person experience that if you always let something pass that really gets to you then it can fester into a really big problem. Can you try sitting down with your husband & have a kind of 'spring clean' & bothof you talk through the good & the bad & see what you can both do to make your live together even happier...

"Communication" is the key here (we do communicate, but not often enough) talking about US.
As for spring cleaning, thats needed all round. A house move will enable us to grow, thats what we need right now.

Thankyou very much for taking the time it was much appreciated.

RE: Your path.........

Hi M![sm=hug.gif]
Thankyou for sharing your experience with me. It helped clarify all the good/positive stuff that myself & husband DO have, & for this I'm truely greatful:D
M!

Only you know what you must do, and I am not saying you should leave, we can all advise and put across our personal experiences but in the end you are the only one who can decide what you must do. I know that doing things subtly works and also asking him for input. Change is good but it is hard when only one person is doing it as the other person can feel left out.

One thing's for sure, after 18 years of marriage I'm not about to throw the towel in over whats happening;) thats why I asked you lovely people to share your experinces with me (& by doing so you have each helped me to grow) but most of all to understand a few things;)

M!

Good luck in what ever you decide and I am being told that you should continue with your journey as things will become easier as time goes by.

Things are starting to ease a little already. I WILL continue Maria, & thankyou for your guidance, it is graceously accepted.

RE: Your path.........

Hi Crystallove

I am going to tread very carefully here but this is a subject that I have been discussing a lot recently.

I have been on my path for 6 years this month. It started when my Dad died of a unsuspected heart attack. Amongst the grief and the heartbreak, confusion, tears - incidents kept occuring where I had to question - has he really left me - anyway last couple of years I really have been following the "path". I am now a massage therapist and this weekend will be taking Reiki I & II.

With husbands (this is where it gets tricky) I think it is a case of yin and yang. My husband is a 6ft 4" Eastender. Dragged up in the Eastend of London. Learning on the streets. Being tough. Being strong. There is not an once (on the outside of his yin). He has supported me with all my holistic courses etc. but he prefers to call it my 'wacky' - "Have you got a wacky meeting tonight" . He listens with half an ear to what I tell him about what I am learning.

However I know that the incidents that happened after my Dad crossed over did not go unnoticed by him. He now even talks to my Dad - usually "See what I have to put up with Dad". (They were very close before my Dad died). He is totally convinced that the success he has had since 1999 was totally because of my Dad's influence after life.

Last night he told me that he had been talking to a solicitor on a chat line who had done all the same courses and was well on her spiritual path. He also said that her marriage had broken down since she had taken her path - she was led by her guides.

Because of this conversation he seemed to want to understand the process more. That was between me and him but in public or with his mates down the pub he would never admit to any of it.

Its all about whether a man is in touch with is yin (feminine???? side) This does not make him necessarily gay or any less a man but it is keeping up that bravado, keeping his face - do you know what I mean.

However if all the masters in the spiritual ways are right we are all going towards an understanding of the universe and there is going to be a shift in attitude.

Be gentle with your husband, he is probably struggling with himself right now. Mine goes from understanding to "wacky" but I am sure that our angels are talking to them as well. Don't look at it as a damaging thing in your relationship. Is there anything else. Men get bored with their lives and will pick at anything they can. He may well really want to understand what its all about but feels that he can't .

I have said all that without upsetting to many men on HP. I love you all because we are all self-minded so no problem there.

Blessing to you

TRACY

RE: Your path.........

Hi spiritsaver
Thankyou for sharing your story with me.
My husband seems to stir lots of things inside me, which makes him very special to me (he keeps me on my toes;)
I too like you have changed such a lot (for the better) & by finding my spirituality it has helped me to make those changes in myself. I wouldn't call my husband spiritual, he's a sceptic (but a healthy one with lots of constructive critisism;);)
I do talk to my husband about my stuff, especially when I'm looking for answers as he always points me in the right direction or at least gives me something to think about. He knows everything I'm "into" as he puts it, & he supports everything that I do (which is a blessing).

Beth

So i think the thing is to be patient.

PATIENCE was definetly a lesson for me this time round (& hopefully I'm getting to grips with it)

Beth

Every second is a chance to make a difference and i dont look back to where we have been for to long. If i find mind wandering back i just repeat STAY IN THE NOW, and mostly, i know what we have is special therefore i also know that between us things will flourish.

You are sooo right. What I have IS special, so at times when I feel myself slipping I will think positively in "the now";)

Thankyou for taking the time to share with me, it was much appreciated.
