Hi all

I wanted to pick your brains please. I am after one word that kind of means "believing in yourself" knowing you have the knowledge like a pick me up word of believing in oneself. Kind of like the word believe but I would like another word. Trust, knowledge, power, believe are all kind of similar words but I am after a particular one that I can't think of! Kind of knowing your dreams can come true if you believe in yourself! Sorry to be a bit ague and hope that makes sense. I'll know the type of word when you amazing people suggest them 🙂 thank you so much, love and light

That's kind of the thing I mean, but after a single word. Doesn't have to mean all of what I have described but that kid of thing, trust, believe...

Only one word comes to mind and that is ' Genuine '

This to me covers everything unique, authentic and real with a sense of being who you were meant to be. 🙂

If your still in the process of coming up with a show name for your horse, I reckon, MOXIE:

Moxie : mox·ie (mks)
n.
Slang
1.
The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage.
2. Aggressive energy; initiative: "His prose has moxie, though it rushes and stumbles from a pent-up surge" (Patricia Hampl).
3. Skill; know-how.

Hi

Thanks for your replies so far. They are coming in very useful. No it is not for my horse. The word is for a tattoo idea but i do love the definition of the moxie word, Shane it's not a real word but love what it sands for!

It's fairly new, but is real. It means courage of spirit. However, it's also (and was first) the name of a soft drink in America, so maybe not what you want for a tattoo.

Oh that's interesting thank you. I thought it was slang as it had slang writing by the word 🙂 I really love what it sands for an is kind of what I'm looking for but as you say I best not get it as a tattoo. I do love the word believe but just want something a little different to that. I'll know it when I hear it....flourish?...shine?

Oh really, I didn't know that.... the word has just lost the biggest part of it's appeal for me (because of the soft drink aspect - not the American aspect)....hmn 😀

Make something up that sounds good. Then, when people ask what it means, you can say, "It means to believe in myself" – and see how long it takes the word to get from your tattoo to The Oxford Dictionary.

I wish.....
Imagine (other ideas that have come to me!) it doesn't have to encompass all words but just even be a word that is similar to believe I that makes sense 🙂

'Count on yourself' maybe?
