It seems they are a cult group, and after reading the link turn around and run the other way very quickly, that is my opinion anyways.

Hi My friend has done all the training & workshops - think the guy has died now who she was training with. If you pm me I shall give you her email address & perhaps she can help you with your queries. She a very kind lady , very spiritual & I think Melchezidek is a specific way of healing via gods love & energy - well thats what Ive understood about it...but have never really asked her much about it. I know the courses were very expensive. Alton - that was his name - but he died not sure who's doing it over here now.

I did once know a lot about Szimhart but have forgotten most. He's an American 'deprogrammer' and gets paid a fortune for doing it. For example, say you wanted to be a Catholic nun, or join a normal Buddhist group and live in an ashram - your parents if they had the money could pay this guy, he would hire a load of 'heavies', and at least in America, even if you are in your 30s, these guys can kidnap you by force against your will, lock you in a room for days and proceed to 'deprogramme' you. This is essentially an alternative programming and can be extremely stressful. Gestapo style. I know one man who was kidnapped this way and held for some days. Like escaping from prison, he escaped. He was quite normal and living the religious life he had chosen. An MSc in Engineering no less.

If I used the words I might to describe Szimhart and his type, who I think only exist in America, I'd get thrown off HP! The last I heard, legal proceedings were brought against the guy some years back, since surely kidnapping is illegal some victims brought him to trial I think. The last I heard.

Beware of cults, yes, maybe. But in most cases - and I mean this - be even more aware of anti-cult groups who are usually cults in themselves and in it for money.

I was hoping that someone else would answer this for you.

I think the Melchizedek Synthesis Light Academy is Dr Joshua Stone's name for his organisation in the US and the last I heard he was calling himself the 'new world teacher'. The organisation does have a very nice gentle and sincere lady sharing his work in Maldon, I met her a couple of years ago. Her name was Diana. I can't tell you anything about the work because I have never looked into it.

This organisation is very differerent to the Melchizedek Healing Method channelled from Thoth to an Australian called Alton who passed over last year and also Drunvalo Melchizedek has authored some books called the 'Flower of Life'. Drunvalo received the sacred geometry information and Alton received the therapy. Although the two camps never saw eye to eye in the past.

I do have a colleague who's daughter your age trained in the therapy so might be able to put you in touch with her by email or phone if you are interested.

I find it usuall a good idea to follow "gut instinct". You were first drawn to that course. But now something in you says "watch out!". Do follow that instinct. Find out more before you get yourself involved in the course.
The genral impression I get form what you wrote is that it is not really your cup of tea. So despite the initial "drawn" to join the course (and the money payed?), it is OK not go further if you have alarm bells ringing.

There is some information about Drunvalo Melchizedick in a book called "Nothing in this book is true, but it's exactly how things are" by Bob Frissel. It's an interesting book - there is stuff about sacred geometry, grey aliens, Egypt etc etc.

In it's self, the name Melchizedik is not a problem, although hard to spell and pronounce!

Melchizedek is a Priest in the Old Testament.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) have a Melchizedik priesthood who give healings, blessings and perform the last rites.

In Tera-Mai Reiki Seichem healing system we have an initiation into the Order of Melchizedik where we join ourselves to the wisdom of the Ancients and call on Abraham and Moses to empower us. It brings grounding and allows the healer to bring through more Light.

So like most things weird, off the wall and cultish, this Light Synthesis thingy has its roots in good work, which is why they look and feel acceptable at first glance, because parts of it ring true and you don't see the weird bits until you've been drawn in by the good bits.

The term 'Ascended Master' is also something you need not be concerned about; what the Synthesis are doing with this potent energy is another matter. If you look at you can get some basic information on the Masters. How you feel about them is the same as how you feel about Jesus, etc - irrelevant to their existence. This is echoed in Sweethearts quote of the book title "........ it's exactly how things are".

Thank you for enlightening me but I'm already level II Tera-Mai Reiki and Saichem so know of what your saying. I was offered the Melchizedik attunement but refused it. Like Sacredstar says 'when in doubt do nowt!'

Hi Azalia. I posted a reply to your email link. I actually found your query via google doing a bit of searching on Melchizedek stuff myself! Erm, I made myself a member here especially to contact you with some info, because I have first hand experience with Melchizedek teachings (The Priesthood, Kamadon Mastery, Ascended Matser, The Elohim, Lord Sananda, Metatron, Master Jesus(!!) yada yada yada). I also was a "master" etc of the Kamadon thingy done by the aussie guy (Alton, aka Brian), as was my wife at the time. Apparently we are both "ascended masters" too! Scary huh! And I have trouble tying my shoelace some mornings haha.. perhaps my self confidence in my new lofty position is merely lacking;-) The material we where given is identical in intent and context to the one you are looking at though, except ours was more sophisticated, had nivce geometric shapes (sacred geometry), and was a little more multimedia savvy. At first I really though it was all crap, until some seriously bizzare things started to happen to my family after involvement with it! All I can say is, trust you instinct. I did. It was a real eye opener! I hope the info I give you in the email i sent you is of use!
