Hi All
We thought you might enjoy reading one of our recent articles on healing. We were notsure where to place it so the middle ground seemed about right.

Gilly, i wonder if its time to put Reiki and Spiritual healing under one heading?[:-] its all energy work after all even if the sources are open to debate.:DJust a thought. Now enjoy the words of Spirit[8D]

This Healing Lark

The truth of healing is somewhat simpler than often believed. Its purpose is the refreshment of the human being. Refreshment may seem a strange word but it is entirely correct and, by nature, all-encompassing.

The explanation is best begun from conception. The moment of conception is one of absolute purity, untainted by any human emotion; the moment that Spirit transfers to human form. Because of the very humanness of being, this purity is, at best, fleeting due to the emotions of both the mother and father coming into play.

Thus begins the process of minute change within the newly forming infant as it comes to terms with the environment that surrounds it. This change is the onset of what is known as dis-ease. This condition can never be judgmental; rather it is a natural consequence of being alive. Much depends on the mindset of the parents and others in what will become the social environment of the newly created human being.

For some, the moment of birth is an ordeal beyond endurance. Others have an easier time and begin to move forward through a life governed by emotions of one kind or another. These emotions pass from one person to another in verbal form, but more importantly, they also flow as energy creating a tremendous jumble of the good and pure as well as that which is less than ideal.

Disease begins as a result of the individual encountering emotions that are less than loving. Learning to deal with such emotions is a life-long involvement. Success in retaining the belief in the self as worthy of Love is revealed by good health. The condition of being unwell can be a reflection of acceptance of a sense of unworthiness.

Healing is the application of Love, often through another, in order to aid the individual to understand his or her intrinsic value.

The competent healer is totally engaged by Spirit to direct a flow of pure energy (as pure as the moment of conception) into the required points throughout the body of the one seeking assistance with healing. This removes all of the negative energy from within the individual and in turn allows physical symptoms to be cleared away. This refreshed state can last for moments or the rest of your days.

The actual healing process is determined by the attitude of the receiver. If s/he can be encouraged to leave aside that which brings pain and sorrow, then wellness will be the outcome. So, the willingness of the healer to work with Spirit is just part of the picture.

If the healer has made the personal commitment to bring about his/her own healing, then verbal insight and understanding can also be passed to the receiver. “Healer, heal thyself” is as true now as it ever was.

Why is another human used as a means of transferring the energy?

This is a valid question with a number of aspects to it. For the moment we will focus on just one or two:

Firstly, the average person is often not open to the concept of receiving energy directly from Spirit. The
